Re: Geminids
Hi brian I have been a member of the BAA for a number of years, but have mainly concentrated on planetary and lunar imaging but recently I thought I would try radio meteor detection I purchased a 5

Excellent correlations. I can see I'll have to watch for longer. Tony

Hello Tony While talking to Heather ( project software lead) I captured these two screenshots.

Re: Meteor Project update
I just saw my first correlation between Brians rx and Norman Lockyer. However, it is always noticeable that Brian's rx is lower noise and higher gain than the others. [image: Gb3MBA_rx.jpg] Tony

Re: Geomagnetic sine wave
Hi Mark Yes, I did see that jump in signal strength which I initually thought was a reciever fault. I'll relabel my graphs.. -- -- Martyn

Re: H-line dish and feed
The Crowd funder site has recently released a YouTube video with an interview with the designer. It's a bit basic in places, but it's interesting to see the design process he went through. You can

Re: Geomagnetic sine wave
Hello, ??? ??? I have seen a similar problem trying to separate 23.4kHz and 24kHz with that receiver. Adjusting the Q too high can cause it to oscillate, but that is easy to avoid. Having the

Re: Geomagnetic sine wave
Hi Martyn, I use SpectrumLab with a b/w of 150Hz for each freq that I monitor and the spectrum plot still shows that HWU is off the air. It would be interesting to see if you trace for 24th November

Re: Geomagnetic sine wave
Hi Mark A good point. I am using the UKRAA receivers, the tuning is mainly carried out by the loop aerial and ATU which? is quite High Q. The front end of the receiver also has a Q plus frequency

Via [imo-news] possible new meteor shower on the 12th Dec
Just seen this on imo-news io group... https://www.imcce.fr/recherche/campagnes-observations/meteors/2023wir May be of interest. BTW enjoyed Monday's Zoom, really clear exposition of the black hole

Re: Geometric sine wave
Hi Mark - I don't think my magnetometer plots are very convincing.... I've attached the curtailed plot for the 03 Dec (we had a power outage affecting part of our property from 14:00 or so on). And

Re: Geomagnetic sine wave
Martyn, That's curious, I haven't received anything on 22.6kHz since 17th October when the tx went off and disappeared into the noise. I wonder what your receiver bandwidth is? Cheers, Mark

Re: Geometric sine wave
My graphs from 20231203 I can see the oscillation on 22.6kHz as well, but not as pronounced. The magnetometer is still unsettled in By following the CME impact a few days ago but Bx may show some

Re: Geometric sine wave
Some time back Callum reported a rapid oscillation in the magnetosphere. I read that these ULF waves range in frequency from 1mHz to 5Hz. Yesterday (3rd Dec) we had a rapid oscillation on 22.1 and

Re: Meteor Project update
Hi Mike I posted this image last year on the beacon discussion group. This was with a Moxon pointing up, and a 4 element pointing at the beacon - the two being fed into the cancellation system.
