Bull gear pin
Hi folks, I went to use my Atlas/Craftsman 12" lathe yesterday and found out something was wrong rather quickly. The bull gear pin kept coming out of the now missing detent. I'd like to purchase a new pin or make one if I can find the dimensions. I have a unimat lathe also.
?Can anybody help this so cal gal, please? |
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýTry Herman & Company on Ebay.?He probably has the bull gear with the pin.? On Apr 21, 2025, at 8:18?PM, Shirley Schumacher via groups.io <shirleyLS0327@...> wrote:

Easy enough to find at eBay. Look it up! On Tue, Apr 22, 2025, 1:49 AM Jim F via <lacityjim2=[email protected]> wrote:

If this is the Atlas 10-256 bull gear pin, there's a drawing in files. I've attached a copy to this message. It is for the 10F lathes, but the file info says for all 10 & 12 inch lathes. And I looked at the photo on the ebay part, and it looks like the part in the drawing. A Unimat should be able to do the job.? ?: )? Bill in OKC William R. Meyers, MSgt, USAF(Ret.) The only reason I know anything is because I've done it wrong enough times to START to know better. Expect in one hand, expectorate in the other. See which one gets full first.

Thanks guys, Found one on Ebay. I just think $45. + $15. for shipping is a bit pricey. Guess I'll have to make one. Shirley Schumacher |
