They are bent brass or steel. You could make your own from those,aluminum, or plastic. Or 3d-print them, for that matter. Or carve them out of wood, even. ;) Thingiverse.com has them for the South

in the link someone shared earlier, there are 3-d printed wiper holders (the black pieces) and the felt wipers (the white pieces). You get all in one. Just supplies the labor and the screws.

Use the correct manual for your model lathe for the selecting wiper screws. Some manuals specify #10-32 x 1/2" Round Head Machine Screws, some manuals specify #10x3/4 self tapping screws, some manuals
