I was scratching my head thinking i was missing something. Looks like to need to make a few tools to make this work.?

I have a quick question, purchased a 101.07301 with a 383.22970 chuck and wanted to know how to use the chuck? The seller told me it came with a working chuck and key, chuck was a bit frozen so i took it a part and cleaned. Works well now but don't see anywhere where the key fits into the chuck to lock anything in place. I understand how to open and close it and see a large nut in the back, but am i missing something? Should I be able to use the included key to somehow tighten the chuck? Holes in the chuck head don't go anywhere Below are some pictures.
