Know anyone who can design a kid's craft project?

Hi,
?
I am the Rotary Club of Ann Arbor's PR guy. We have been approached by Angela Kline, head of the Ann Arbor Art Fair Association, to participate in the Ann Arbor Street Art Fairs Kick Off. They suggested we have "some handouts to promote our club, especially something younger folks can do in the way of an art or craft take away.”?
?
I have no clue what would make a good project that kids could easily complete and take away. Would any of you happen to know anyone who could help us design some kind of Rotary-themed kid’s craft project??
?
Regards,
?
Dan Romanchik

I recommend you talk with TeacherPatti, and/or (who specializes in this). I also did a bit of consulting along these lines with a group doing outreach for middle school kids around equity and inclusion for disability. I know Rotary is broader than that, but these might give you some ideas. Here is a cut and paste from a follow-up message I sent to them.??

The links from our chat today.?

I also just found a printable *typeable* origami fortune teller pattern!

This could, theoretically, be something else that folk pick up from the table and take with them.?

I also found "Cards for Inclusion."?

I can think of dozens of ways to use these interactively that might work with that age group. It could be a good resource for teachers, too.?

The University of Michigan is located on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe people.? In 1817, the Ojibwe, Odawa, and Bodewadami Nations made the largest single land transfer to the University of Michigan.? This was offered ceremonially as a gift through the Treaty at the Foot of the Rapids so that their children could be educated.? Through these words of acknowledgement, their contemporary and ancestral ties to the land and their contributions to the University are renewed and reaffirmed.

Thanks for the links. I like the idea of a cootie catcher. It's very simple to make, and we could print up several different ones. Some could have Art Fair kinds of messages, while others could have Rotary messages.

Excellent! Let me send you a few other cootie-catcher concept pieces I have.
