It looks like Yahoo is at it again, looking for you to answer a "survey"
indicating your choices for a premium (i.e. Pay) service. This is the URL:
The upshot of this is that there will probably be restrictions on what
"free" groups will be able to do; i.e. message limits, archive size limits,
number of members that can be added limits, etc.
My intent is to shut down this list as soon as payment for it is required.
I've already had an offer for another host, but those of you who are on
this list and would like to see it continue should start thinking about
alternate venues.
I am most concerned about Bill Barr's N Scale list which will clearly be
impacted by any new restrictions. It will probably be "belly up to the
bar" for that sooner or later.
I can't say I didn't see this coming... and please, let's refrain from
business model discussions.
