Helper Service: Need Hi-Res Photo of 1967 Catalog Cover

Hi gang,

I'm preparing an article on A1G for The N Scale Enthusiast Magazine.? A milestone in A1G history is the 1967 Catalog, which has on the cover the iconic painting of two trains crossing over each other in a mountain scene.? I'd like to include a photo of that cover but given my several moves I can't find it.

I'm wondering if anyone has handy that catalog and can furnish me a hi-res photo of that cover.? I need a higher quality than for a website, posting here, etc. since it will be in a physical magazine.? A high-quality cellphone picture or of course a photo taken with a digital camera would work.? The image needs to be as "straight" as possible for use.? I will give you a credit in the article!

Thanks in advance.?

Tom, thanks.??? This is David K. Smith's site, a great resource by the way.

I'm not comfortable "borrowing" his photo of the catalog however.? I don't think that's fair use.? So I'm looking for an original photo that I can provide to NSE without any restrictions.

? ?I once had the ATLAS CATALOGS 1960's to 2013 however due to a move from webster, NY in 2013 one of my two Sister s had Purged them .. deemed them as Useless and ?Not needed . This also goes for my Last N-SCALE Layout which my Late Mother and I built together was ?Tagged and marked for the move , instead it was either sold at a estates sale or tossed by the wayside as Trash ! most of the Buildings etc were ATLAS a1g !

You have my deepest sympathies Tom, I know how frustrating that can be. ? Why do you have to keep the boxes? ? or ? Why would you keep an (out of date catalog, magazine, event poster etc)? ?.
All I can say is, after I die, please don’t let my wife sell my collection for what she thinks it’s worth.
Cheers,

Martin

Tom, I didn't realized you lived in Webster... as you know, I've been in the Rochester area since 1989!? Charlotte, Ellison Park, Henrietta and now along the long-gone Rochester and Sodus Bay right of way in Irondequoit.

Meanwhile, the search for the catalog cover continues...
