Found some A1g cars.......

Rick Will

Hi everyone,
I finally found some A1G cars this past Saturday. 50' double door boxcar, I.C. Rd#41677.... Bulkhead flatcar (with lumber load, S.P. Rd#5373....Composite gondola, N.S.,Rd#7700 (this goes with the other ones I got during the summer, Monon Rd#2020 and Reading Rd#1800) and the last one I think was the best find #5004-129 40'boxcar P.C.,Rd#65420, still in kit form, all parts on spurs still in it's original Atlas box! I'm about to commit a cardinal sin and I hope everyone here at A1G including Mr. Irwin don't get mad at me for what I'm about to do...change over the trucks to knuckle type??!!!(lol) I know at a collectors stand point that these models should be kept in original form but I collect and operate everything I have so these need to be able to couple up with other equipment on my Pacific NorthWestern Railroad layout. So when I do a truck swap on these cars I will do it with Atlas's accumate truck mounted couplers to keep everything Atlas. I do and will store the original trucks away as those are getting hard to find since everyone has changed over to the plastic wheel sets. If and when I find some more A1G cars, I'll post it here and hope to hear of everyone else's findings here at the A1g group.
Rick
P.S. You can count on me building that P.C. boxcar kit. I used to enjoy building those as a kid and will sure enjoy doing that again!! Also a note to Mr. Irwin, can the first locomotives that were made for Atlas be concidered A1G? (Roco and Rivarossi) And can these be included with our A1G findings if someone should come across some?
