开云体育Thanks George,Do you know what type of automobiles are in the blister pack? When I worked at Engine House Hobbies in Wichita, Kansas, this was the sort of thing we had up front - like candy, magazines, etc at a grocery store. These were called "impulse items"; something that is not very expensive, has a good markup and that the customer buys on impulse. If you bought an empty autorack flat, from Con-Cor or similar, you could buy the automobiles to put on it. If you had made a little scene that had a parking lot, then the cars went into that area. Wonderful memories. Neal Lewis Daytime Sales Manager Engine House Hobbies 1994 - 1997 On 6/2/22 10:02 AM, igoldberg20032003

开云体育Agreed, I've never seen anything like this short of the Bachmann car/truck/bus/construction vehicle pack, which didn't even appear to be the same scale. Back in the day, I used to have to buy Wiking, Faller or Preiser for realistic vehicles until I discovered Road Apples and GHQ, but all of those were quite expensive. I wonder why Atlas stopped offering these? Were they made in Austria? Cheers, Martin On 2022-06-02 11:02 a.m.,

The automobiles in the 2309 set are all Fords, assorted models and colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, gray, and black, red seems to be rare) - 2 door coupes, 4 door sedans, station wagons, and Mustangs. The exact model years are not clear but, given when they were first available, they must have been late sixties models. The Mustangs do look like late sixties fast backs.

And yes, the same automobiles were used to fill the 3101, 3102, 3103, and 3104 Auto Transporter cars.
?
There is no indication as to manufacture origin anywhere on the automobiles but we can maybe assume, since the rail cars were made by RoCo (Atlas Austria on the bottom, of course), the automobiles were too but there is no guarantee since various manufacturers often farm out part making to other manufacturers.

And now, of course, since I said red seems to be rare since only one out of the 48 automobiles in my four auto transporters is red, I see the two out of the eight pictured in the 2309 set are red, so maybe only rare to me. \:^)

I must be tired or losing my mind. The 8 pack of automobiles is catalog number 2809, and NOT 2309, of course.
