Well, I have been trying for the last hour to upload the exploded diagram of the SW1500 Cow and have had nothing but trouble. It's amazing to me how almost nothing on the internet or with PCs really work the way they are supposed to anymore.
?
Can somebody go to the files section and click on the file to see what displays for you? I just get a dang screen which shows what's in my scan folder and wants me to save the file that's supposed to be the exploded diagram. Screwy!? I would appreciate it. If you get the diagram, OK. If you get the same thing as me, I will delete it and try something else.

P.S. Some of the loco's sometimes do share similar parts. it's cost effective for the manufacturer to do so and not have to make one of a kind parts (especially on these early runs) that can drive the cost up in manufacturing a product.

?
Hi my name is Davinia and live in New Zealand and new to this group.

I have a problem with an Atlas/Rivarossi e440 Italian Railways loco #2691 that I brought to repower,

On removing the shell I discovered the 4 intermediate spur gears were missing from the trucks,

I'm trying to find out what other loco's may use the same gears, would anybody know where I could get a parts diagram for this locomotive ? Or a parts diagram for the Rivaossi EMD SW1500 as this may use the same spur gears.

Any help would be much appreciated

Another ER Models Bay Window Caboose Found

Gang,

Add another data point to the E-R Models reissues of A1G Bay Window cabooses... Catalog Number 70103 is now confirmed as Southern Pacific 1745.??

Only five more road numbers to confirm: both Union Pacific, and one each of the C&NW, ROCK and New York Central versions.?

I hope to have a photo of the SP 1745 up on the A1G site shortly.

Cheers,
George

2-8-2 parts

With all the talk about a part for the 4-6-2, reminded me of my 2-8-2 which is in need of a wheel for the pilot axle. Does anybody have one in their junk box that they would not parting with? Thanks for any help.

Hi Jeff and Doug,
I may have a unit that can be sacrificed, but it's in storage and in mixed in with 0-8-0 parts. I repowered one with a Sagami can motor about fifteen years ago and had a second RIP unit for parts, so I should still have the remains. I'd appreciate a copy of the parts diagram so I can figure out which part is which however.
Cheers,

Martin

Jeff, your best bet may actually be to find a loco on ebay for those screws. I suppose there may be somebody who will own up to one with a ruined frame (Zamacitis) and be selling it for parts. I haven't looked on there in a long time.
?
The Rivarossi screws are pretty unique. I don't know if any of the miniature hardware suppliers would have anything close.
?
I have some spare Riv screws but they are all from E8s and C-Liners and none of them are the shouldered type you need.?You can make shouldered screws out of regular ones with solder or epoxy. It just depends on how much trouble you want to go to.
?
Is the frame on yours good with no cracking or swelling? If so, you at least have that going for you. \:^)
?
Good luck.

Hi Jeff,

Welcome to the A1G group. Attached are the three pages of the Atlas service?
manual for the Pacific (4-6-2). I guess I don't understand what you mean?

Anyway, I hope the manual will be of help. The pages are a little light??
because they were copies when I received them. I'm sure they can be darkened?
up with a graphics manipulation application.
