Michael, I just checked my tank cars. Those numbered 2261 thru 2264 have no railing. Numbers 2265 thru 2268 have the railing. After the first four cars they must have decided to add the railing. Bob

In collecting some more cars I have found that there is a style difference between the #2261 Gulf tank car and the other tank cars in the group. On the Gulf car there is no railing around the dome
