Ingredients

  • 1?cup?low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2?cup?brown sugar
  • 2?tablespoons?apple cider vinegar
  • 3?garlic cloves?minced
  • 2?teaspoons?sesame oil
  • 1?teaspoon?fresh grated ginger
  • 1/4?cup?water
  • 3?tablespoons?cornstarch

Instructions

  • In a medium-sized saucepan over medium-high heat, whisk together?1 cup low-sodium soy sauce,?1/2 cup brown sugar,?2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar,?3 garlic cloves, minced,?2 teaspoons sesame oil, and?1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger. Heat over medium-high heat and bring it to a simmer.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together?1/4 cup water?and?3 tablespoons cornstarch?then add it into the saucepan. Whisk the sauce constantly until it starts to thicken.
  • Remove from heat and cool. Use the homemade sauce immediately as needed or store it in a tightly sealed jar for up to two weeks.
