A good deal of the loco data on my MX32 had become corrupted after some 5 years usage so I set about clearing the data using the "clear data" function on the config page.
All seemed to proceed satisfactorily but now all I have on the screen is a red box with a thick line across the top and the red "MN" light flashing continuously and no buttons or switches change anything.?
What have I done? and how do I fix it?

Yep, you cleared data for sure!

I believe that the "data" includes the symbol/icons files and the fonts files.

You could probably have just deleted the loco data I believe...

Anyway, here you are now, so please read my page and follow what I say.

It is now almost back to where I started yesterday and you were correct - it has taken me most of the day to fix but your instructions are good and I would not have got here without them
All i have to do now is to re-enter the loco data

I'm glad the instructions helped, I had to figure them out pretty much myself...

The fonts file is well known, but the symbols and Icons file will bite you in the butt often.

theoretically eventually you will be able to back up that data to a memory stick, but most of the backup and restore functions only have menu entries, and do not really work.

But it will eventually get there... basically the system has no limitations except paying for programmers at Zimo.
