Brawa Doehler @ Haass Decoder

Can any one tell me if the Brawa Doehler @ Haass decoders used in Brawa Locomotives work on the Zimo system when using the the MX9 block control system as system autonomous. I only have the MX1 which I purchased in 2005 and then was told by Peter Zeigler that zimo decoders would only work on system autonomous. Roco at that stage were using ESU decoders and would not work with the MX1/Mx9 although they would work manually on the layout. Roco in later years changed from the ESU to zimo decoders and now work fine.

Thanks
Graham

Hi Graham,

Why don't you ask ZIMO? They all speak English in varying degrees of fluency. Just send an email to <service@...>.
They will know about these decoders, as D?hler & Haas sell into the German speaking market.

John Russell

Hi Graham,

Doehler & Hass

See: ?(in German).?There is no note on Zimo HLU. Why should they have implemented a rather special non-DCC feature?for one single?customer??

ESU

In the ESU general description of their LokPilot 5 you'll find Zimo HLU and ZACK.?

This does not apply to the LokPilot 5 Basic. As ESU communicate:?The LokPilot 5 Basic was developed with the aim of offering a modern decoder with a reasonable range of functions at a reasonable price.

ESU had implemented the original Zimo HLU right from the start. But, as ESU CEO Jürgen Lindner?told me rather long ago, they could not follow further HLU improvements because of missing Zimo specs.

If ESU are offering HLU / ZACK today one should assume that they are able to deliver the?latest functionalities. It would perhaps be helpful to contact also ESU for information on the system autonomous versus manual operation issue.

Best
