Stacy, That thought crossed my mind, as well. However, when switching the blower switch from AUTO to MAN, the blower should run and does not. I'm suspecting some kind of relay or other connection board that has killed it completely. I had 240 VAC across all the fuses inside the back panel, but stopped short of electrocuting myself. I know when to say "when."?
I left the panel screws out and the panels off in case someone else wants to look at it before a professional does. I left it with the main breaker off at the panel. No one likes surprises like that!?

When I arrived at Indian Prairie today, I turned on the air conditioning and it failed to come on. I first checked the breaker in the panel. I then removed some screws and took off the back panel, suspecting the little wind up timer had failed. After checking all the fuses and verifying we had 240 VAC, I disconnected the wind up timer and still nothing. No compressor, no blower, nothing. I didn't get into it any further figuring that even IF I figured out what's wrong, I wouldn't have the parts and tools to fix it. Someone with much more knowledge and experience needs to look at it.?
