I've used 1/4 5 layer Exterior ply (water resistant) and also basic 1/4 3 layer ply painted. I also made one module with only 3/4 pink foam, a mistake, as one pushed me towards ultra light modules.

I agree with Bill and Loren. We are typically using 1/8" Luan plywood. It is MUCH lighter than 1/4" but still gives good stiffness when fastened down to the frame work. Then I use foam on top ranging
