Zoom Planning Mtg Juristac USYCS Presentation
Regarding the April 29th USYCS Webinar focused on Juristac, the following Zoom call has been set-up.? Since I have not received much feedback regarding the best time to meet, I just blocked-off the hours between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM tomorrow (Sunday, April 26).? Based on some feedback, it seems that 4:00 PM might work as a start time for a < 30 minute meeting.
Please let me know if you can attend, or if that time does not work for you.

what an incredible presentation!? You all covered a lot of information and your mutual respect and building off each other’s perspectives was so well done. ?
I agree with Lou, this program has so much to offer - in building more realistic framing of Mutsun history over thousands of years and the real impacts of colonization; and framing right-allyship so well at the end.? Such a range of knowledge and perspectives among you - so glad I was able to see most of it. ?

I'm writing with regard to next week's live stream presentation on Juristac, to be aired nationally via US Youth Climate Strike's live stream system.
Personally, I see several reasons why this presentation might turn out to be one of the most important yet made.?
1.)? It could immediately tie-in with nationwide efforts to encourage young people to show solidarity with Indigenous Peoples where they live.? This would include showing solidarity for protecting sacred sites.
2.)? It will address Juristac to a nationwide audience.
3.)? It could provide an excellent educational resource for teachers to make use of locally and regionally.? A great example of peer-to-peer communication.
For those reasons and others, I personally believe that the overall presentation might benefit from review given via multiple individuals.? To this end, I would like to utilize the? [email protected] to list a read-only link to the yet-to-be-created slideshow for the presentation.? Currently, this list includes the following people: Jamie Minden (SVYCS)

I would also suggest that we have a short zoom meeting tomorrow to discuss some of the specific logistics, to make the most out the presentation.? Alexii, and/or Steven, and/or Julisa will have no problems speaking to this important issue--especially with Val's guidance.? Rather, the zoom call could focus on specific logistics, like how best to make use of slides; ensuring that important subject areas are not overlooked; delegating any remaining tasks or roles; etc.? Not everyone would have to be on it.
Any thoughts?

NOTE on the FILM’S mission - Unitarian Ministry for the Earth has worked with the film producers Clement and Sophie Guerra to make this film, move it to online distribution with several beta screenings, and offer it as a vehicle to highlight indigenous involvement in climate change activism. ?The film is being premiered during Earth Week, and the longterm goal is to use it as an organizing tool to focus on local indigenous efforts and organize support for them.
