Sadie shook her head sadly. "No boyfriend, no girlfriend. Never have time to meet anyone and get to know them because I move around a lot."? She walked over and looked out the window, pleased to find they had a view of the grounds behind the house, and no one could see them from the street.

"I doubt there will be legal matters from what happened," the dark-haired young woman said, removing her leather duster and tossing it on her bed. "Mr. Gray doesn't want the attention. He'll cover it up, like he does everything. It's whether he'll come after me or not, that's the big question."

"Sounds like we need to keep our sensors on alert, then," Colleen said, continuing with her game.? "Mia and Del are used to the usual sort of anti-mutant attention we get from some of the norms, but this Mr. Gray of your sounds like he's got a special thing on for you.? So yeah, you really need to let them know about him if they don't already." The red-haired girl looked thoughtful behind her goggles even as her fingers continued to busy themselves with the controls.? "I can help if anyone gets close enough for me to touch them.? Unless they're wearing some kind of body suit that covers all of their skin."

"And I think Mia and Del have friends they can call on to handle the more, you know, intense situations.? But there is one student here you might want to get to know.? His name's Roddy." She made a face beneath her goggles.? "He can come across as something of a jerk-wad at times, but he's not that bad.? Once you get past the attitude, anyway.? And he really is trying to get better."

Sadie nodded, "I'll keep that in mind." She then opened up a storage bin under her bed and located some towels. Grabbing up and towel and wash cloth she looked to Splice. "Showers? Are they attached to the room or are they shared with others in the dorms. Because I've been? on the run a few days and could REALLY use one right about now."

"Well, this room's got an attached shower you could use," Splice said, continuing with her game.? "There is a girls' shower for other students, but they gave me my own shower for my room."? She scrunched up her nose beneath her goggles.? "Too much chance of me accidentally making skin-on-skin contact with someone in the common shower, y'know.? I mean, I do try to avoid it, but I can't always turn it off quick enough."

"Hey, you wanna hit the dining room after your shower?" Splice asked.? "I'm starting to get some hunger pangs.? Happens if I get too into the game and forget to eat."

Sadie took a long shower, hoping maybe the hot water and soap would wash away not only the dirt and sweat, but the emotional pain she'd sustained since encountering Gray and his men. When she resolved herself finally that it would not, she got out of the shower, dried off and dressed in her last set of clothes in the now empty bag she'd brought along. Afterwards, she stepped out of the bathroom and found Splice where she'd left her. Tossing her dirty clothes in a basket provided under her bed, Sadie then turned to Splice and smiled. "Ready to hit the dining room?"

"That isn't all you brought with you, is it?"? The young red-head shook her head disdainfully.? "I swear, a place for teens in need should be a _lot_ better prepared than this.? First thing after we eat, _you_ and I are getting you some more clothes."

I do sometimes wish I had a power for creating illusions.? That I could appear dressed however I like no matter what I was wearing.? Or not wearing," she added, grinning impishly.? "Wouldn't that be a trip?"

Sadie smiled, not entirely sure of what Colleen was talking about. Splice was cute and for a moment she wondered what the girl would look like dressed in something different...something sexy or.... The dark-haired girl cleared the thought from her head. She'd just met Colleen and they were barely friends.? Still, Reaper couldn't help but think about it, but she rarely allowed herself such thoughts. When she got close to people, they sometimes died.? The young woman refocused her thoughts on food as they walked into the cafeteria. She looked around then glanced to Splice. "It smells good. I'm starving," she grinned. "Let's eat."
