"Loud is perfectly acceptable on an uninhabited island," Andrew replied with a smirk, kissing her forehead with affection.? "Hopefully my crew are knowledgeable enough to _not_ come to investigate."

"The Elusive should be ready to set out again soon," he went on, running his hand idly up and down his lover's bare flank.? "I think our best option would be to continue on to France and go to your father.? Hopefully without another hostile action while we're at sea.? The Elusive was built for speed, not for fighting."? He favored Evone' with an uneasy look.? "We were lucky to have gotten off as lightly as we did.? But at least we achieved our objective:? getting you back safely."

Evone’ reached up to kiss him lightly on the lips. She wrapped her legs around his waist and squeezed. “Do you have any idea how much I love you. And how much that scares me.” She said honestly her features turning sad.

Evone pulled away then. Taking her arms and legs down. Pushing him slightly off her so she could stand. “We should clean ourself and get back before the crew becomes worried.” She stood then moving to the ocean.

"We also don't want to tempt the crew any more than necessary, my love," Andrew said with a grin, slipping his arms around her waist and holding her in place before she could step out onto the open beach.? A quick look up and down the beach revealed that no one else was in sight.? "But the coast is clear so let's go."??

Taking her hand in his, they continued down to where the ocean was lapping at the sand in gentle waves.? The water was pleasantly cool as they made their way in, stopping when the surface reached their waists.? Andrew then dove forward, immersing himself, enjoying the feeling of the ocean enveloping his naked body.? Looking back, he could see Evone's lower torso and legs in the clear island water, slender and alluring.? He impishly continued swimming, circling to come up behind her, then surfaced with a yell as he grabbed her from behind.? "Got you, me beauty!"??

Evone didn’t move into the water too far. She couldn’t swim and didn’t want to be sucked to far out to sea by the waves. However they seemed more gentle than the waves she encountered the night before.

She stood in water that was about breast deep letting the waves gently lap against her skin as Andrew swam about her. When he came up behind her, she chuckled, turning in his arms. “Yes love you do.” She said kissing his neck.

Andrew held her close, enjoying the warmth of her naked wet body against his, and the beauty of her in the reflected sunlight rippling from the water's surface.? Stroking the strands of her damp hair into place, he gazed at her like a man unable to fully believe his good fortune.

"There's a part of me that just wants us to stay here forever, my love," he said wistfully, his eyes intent on hers.? "Just you and me with the island all to ourselves, with no bastard of a husband or pirate hellion to cast a shadow on our happiness."??

"But I'm afraid that's just not in the cards for us," he said, growing serious once again.? "We have to deal with those two for once and all.? And get you to your father as well. And besides..." he smiled affectionately as he took her hand and began wading back to where their discarded clothes lay waiting "...I suspect that there's a lot of the world that you'd like to see. And that I'd like to show you. And the sooner we begin, the better."

Looking up into his beautiful eyes, “As long as I’m With you.” She said quietly “I do not care where I am.” She said touching his cheek.

A part of her didn’t want to go chase down Lucas. His betrayal hurt deep. She rested her head on his chest, her voice still quiet. “What did they do to me.”

"From what you've told me and from what I've observed," Andrew said, holding her close, "I believe they were feeding you some kind of drug to keep you vulnerable and disoriented." He hesitated a moment, wondering if he should tell what he'd learned from the lawyer back in Port Royale.? "I think," he said finally, "they wanted you declared unfit to handle your affairs, so that Lucas, as your legal husband, would be given control over your affairs. Which would include any inheritance you might receive from your father when he passes."

"But I will not allow that to happen, my beloved," the captain of the Elusive went on, lifting her face by the chin so that their eyes met.? "If it means I have to your traitorous husband, his bitch-captain partner and every pirate on that ship, then so be it."
