Blood Bonds: The Unexpected (Draven, Vincent, Anais, Chantel)

(Anais)
Anais had drifted off into the blessed depth of sleep. It was quiet and peaceful and right where she wanted to be. So when she felt her body coming back to life, she fought and resisted. But it did not matter. Whatever was happening to her would not be stopped. With a gasp she awoke, trying to sit up only to find that she was tied. Her eyes, now red-rimmed from the blood that was being given to her, looked directly at Chantel. "What are you doing to me," she said pulling against the straps on her arms. "Why won't you people just leave me alone," she screamed. "Just leave me alone," she screamed again. "Leave me and my babies alone," screamed. "Just leave us alone," she screamed and she kept screaming the phrase over and over again.

(Chantel)
While Chantel had waited to see if Anais would come to or not, she had pressed a button on a panel behind a picture to reveal a monitor. She was watching the fighting from downstairs when she heard Anais stir and then start yelling. She looked at the girl and then pointed to the screen, "is that your Draven?" She tried asking over the girl's screams.

(Draven/Vincent)
The two men were deeply involved in the sword fight. Every now and then one of Vincent's men would fire a shot when it was clear and the bullet would hit Draven. He was being shot faster than he was able to heal and more and more bullets were being lodged in his body. Vincent took advantage of this and made a savage onslaught of blows cutting Draven deeply in many areas.

Anais had no intention to stop screaming. She wanted to be set free. She wanted her family to be left alone. ¡°Please just let us go.¡± ?Anais screamed pulling against her bonds.

She didn¡¯t have a Draven anymore. ?And even if she did, she had no intention of helping them. ?

(Chantel)
Chantel glanced at Anais as the woman screamed and pulled at the restraints on her arms. The blood bag was almost empty. She went to the iv stand and shut off the flow. "Hold still and I will take the catheter out of your arm." She offered as she glanced at the monitor again to see what was happening...

(Draven/Vincent)
The sounds of Anais' screams carried down the hall, down the stairs and to the room where the battle was taking place. Draven heard her and was momentarily distracted. He dropped his guard and looked towards the stairs...

Vincent heard the screams as well and seized the moment of the distraction to make his next move. As Draven turned back to face him, Vincent swung the sword and hit his mark....

(Chantel)
Chantel gasped as she watched what unfolded and stood staring at the monitor not sure to believe what had just happened...

(Draven/Vincent)
Draven's body dropped to the floor as his head flew threw the air and hit the far wall. Vincent had finished the fight and now stood over the headless body of the great American liberator, Lord Draven Phillips.?

The blood pact that was shared between him and Anais was severed and would cause the lady a great deal of pain...

?

The last thing Anais expected was to see Draven die.

?

She knew these people wanted to hurt him so she didn¡¯t want them to think she matter to him¡or that he matter to her. She didn¡¯t want to give them ammunition that they could use against him, like the way they were using their children against her. She had never accessed her Vampire powers before, having only sporadically consuming blood in her life, something her father did on purpose to keep her in a weakened human state. Feeling the blood course through her body now gave her added strength. Strength she could feel coursing through her. She was trying to bide her time so that she could over power the woman beside her and get to him. Help him. Run with him. Escape with him.

?

She loved him and didn¡¯t realize how much she missed him until she saw him. Didn¡¯t realize how much she needed him until she him fall.

?

¡°NO! she screamed. It was a scream the shook the room, rattle the windows and sent the glass flying inwardly, cutting her face and skin and anyone inside.

?

She could not breathe. Her chest hurt so much. ¡°No,¡± she whispered.

?

Tears had just started to fall from her eyes when she felt the pain. She had intended to run to the door, to smash her way out to get to him. She needed to get to him. He would be okay if she could just get to him. But the sudden excruciating pain the likes of which she had never know in her life ripped through her body. It consumed her mind, her body and ?her soul. The pain didn¡¯t matter though. All that matter was getting to him. She needed to get to him¡to ?Draven. Her Draven¡

?

But a blood pact was a blood pact. It bound two hearts, two live, ?two souls together as one and as such one could not go on without the other. So as Anais used the last of whatever power the blood coursing through her body gave to break through her straps and climb off the bed, and get to the door enough to bang on it, softly calling his name. It did not give her enough power or energy to get through the door¡or to even continue to live her life without the other half of her soul. ?

?

So as Draven¡¯s life force stopped and left its current plane, so too did Anais¡¯s.

?

The blood pact that had bound them in life, had also bound them in death.

?

Anais didn¡¯t even realize she had taken her last breathe, as she slid to floor, her tiny fist still banging on the door, ?her eyes transfixed on the nothingness that consumed her. The pain gripping her heart causing it to explode. Her only thought was Draven. The last tear she would ever cry slipped from dead green eyes to slid down her cheek dropping onto her belly and the babies nestled within.

(Draven)
Draven was suddenly standing over his own headless body and he wondered for a moment what had just happened. Then he heard laughter and looked around to find Vincent holding his head by the hair, his eyes lifeless.?

Then he felt a huge sense of freedom and love. Love for Anais that had been missing for so long. Then he remembered hearing her screams. He went to the stairs and without knowing how went up them to the door where he knew she was on the other side.

He went to place his hand on the door and discovered it went through and the rest of him followed and suddenly he was inside the room and was shocked to find a lifeless form of his beloved on the floor.?

He squared down and reach for her hand, "Oh my love, Anais." Then he felt her touch him a d he helped her spirit to rise from her body...

Anais blinked. Startled by the suddenness of having the most excruciating pain of her life just stop. She looked up to see that she was holding Draven's hand and he was helping her to stand. "Beloved," she said throwing herself into his arms. Holding him tight. "I am so sorry. This...this is all my fault. I never meant for this to happen or hurt you. I...I just felt so alone...so betrayed. I wanted ...wanted the pain to go away. And I reach for you and you closed yourself off to me and I thought you didn't want me anymore. I missed you. I missed you so much." She cried holding him tight.?
