"Thank you for your help, Ms. Mia," Gen said politely as the woman left the room.? He then looked to Akira, a little uncertain.? "So... I guess the school store is next?? I could use some clothes.? All I've got is what I've got on right now."? He chewed his lip a bit.? "Most of the stuff is easy, but could use some special shirts? For, like, when I grow wings to fly with?" ? "And I could use some other things. Girl things.? For when..."? The androgyne sighed.? "If we're going to be roomies, you might as well know.? This is something else I can do."? He closed his eyes and concentrated, and his body and face began shifting, his breasts growing more prominent, his hips more curved, his features softer and more feminine.? He opened his eyes and looked for Akira's reaction.? "Is it okay?" he asked, anxious but hopeful. ? (Akira) Akira also thanked Mia as she left. "Yep, guess so. I figured if you were on the run, you didn't have much." Then he watched as the boy before him shifted and became a girl. "Well, interesting. Not sure what purpose being able to change from male to female would play in your creation, but yes it's okay." Then Akira gave him a wink, "I prefer the other form of you."

Akira also thanked Mia as she left. "Yep, guess so. I figured if you were on the run, you didn't have much." Then he watched as the boy before him shifted and became a girl. "Well, interesting. Not sure what purpose being able to change from male to female would play in your creation, but yes it's okay." Then Akira gave him a wink, "I prefer the other form of you."

So in addition to needing to be adaptable to a number of extreme environments, I was also designed to be adaptable to, well, the needs of my fellow explorers or colonists." She shrugged a bit awkwardly.? "I know how that must sound, but it was really a matter of practicality.? To insure the success of the mission.? And the survival of the colony if it was a colonization mission."

At Akira's wink and comment, Gen concentrated and shifted back into her male state, her breasts disappearing, her face and frame becoming more masculine.? "Is this better?" he asked.? "I... I kinda sensed you preferred male to female, but I didn't want to assume."

He turned to Gen at that point, "so, ready to go and do some shopping? The campus store is quite large and we can find most anything we might need or want there."

Or was it just a casual platonic gesture that a normal person would make to a new acquaintance? .Why did it have to feel so good?? The androgyne just wanted to melt into the embrace, to increase the amount of bodily contact, to soak up the warmth he could feel coming through the thin garments they were wearing.? And Akira's off-hand comments about "stuff for showering" and "help you with clothing" were, however innocent, stirring fantasies in his head.? But the signals he had picked up earlier had made him think that the other boy wasn't "that way".??

He asked curiously as he moved to the strawberry scented shampoo. "Sure, it makes a girl's hair smell good. But you don't come across as someone who would like to smell like fruit."

Or does it have something to do with attraction?? I have noticed that some boy smells induce attraction even though they're completely different from girl smells that also induce attraction." Without thinking, he leaned in close and sniffed at the other boy's neck.? "Kind of like you do."? Realizing he might be crossing some proximity no-no, he quickly backed up and looked apologetic.? "Sorry.? I keep forgetting."

Looking at a pair of black jeans, Gen turned and showed them to Akira.? "Are these okay?? And how do you know if they'll fit?? Do you have to try them on?"

(Akira) Akira chuckled, "of course girls are supposed to smell different from boys. All that sciency stuff and you were not taught about pheromones. Interesting." He giggled when Gen sniffed his neck, "that is fine. And I am not wearing anything like cologne or after shave. We all put off our own smells. Some are nice and some are not so nice. Some people just down right stink," he wrinkled his nose, then quickly added, "but, unless you are really close with that person, you don't tell them they stink. That is just rude."
He picked out a few clothes that he thought Gen would look nice in and placed them in the basket as they walked and talked and looked at different clothing items.
