Confusion and apprehension, fear and worry was all there in Mikayla¡¯s eyes. And when Angus knelt before, she gasped and step back so quickly. ¡°Please Angus get up.¡± She said tugging on him to rise. ¡°I didn¡¯t do anything. It wasn¡¯t me. I swear it wasn¡¯t. Please stop. I would love to help but the last time I attempted a spell I was asleep for two weeks. The spell book still won¡¯t respond to me. There is just no way I could ever do a spell like this. I¡¯m sorry.¡±

¡°I¡¯m sorry,¡± she said to the dragon. ¡°I will go get your nest comfortable for you and get you some good. I¡¯m glad you're feeling better.¡± She said turning to leave the room.?

"I don't want to be 'comfortable'," the Dragon said, reaching out and grabbing Mikayla's arm as she turned to leave.? It took all of his self-control to keep himself from using anywhere near his full strength, and he gripped her much as he could a small kitten.? "I was to be human again.? And you are the only one who can help me."? Carefully he released his hold on the young woman.? "I can't force you, and I wouldn't even if I could.? All I can do is ask you.? Or beg you, if that's what it will take."??

The Dragon walked to the large open window leading to the balcony.? "If you won't help me, then I... I will have to let you go." He look out into the surrounding mountains.? "It would be cruel to have you stay.? I'll do my best to... to keep the dragon in check.? But for your own safety, I urge you to go far away, farther than even the village. There are roads that go beyond it.? There must be _something_ there."

Mikayla winced at the grip to her arm. Even though he was trying to be gentle, his grip was still hurting her. His words stung.

¡±you want me to go¡­you are kicking me out? After you brought me here and made me lov¡­¡± she stopped herself before she admit that to him¡­to herself. ?¡°I told you!. I don¡¯t know how. You don¡¯t think I would help you if I could. I would move mountains for you if I could. I don¡¯t how!¡± She said tears slipping down her cheeks.?

¡°But since I¡¯m of no further use to you. Your just going to kick me out! You took me from my family. I was about to be wed. It¡¯s been years. And you just want to discard me¡­just like that¡­fine! FINE!¡± She said turning from both him and Angus.?she lifted her skirt and ran out and away from both of them.
