Raconteur City: The Awakening (Posting Order: Scarlett, Kitty/Katya, Hollywood/Diego/NPC Isabel, Ariein, open) Add your name as you join the thread.

 

(Scarlett)
Scarlett wasn't able to answer before Hollywood entered. She had not met the prince. If she were like other vampire royals, she was likely going to be unique and eccentric. When she entered, a black wolf at her side, Scarlett's assessment seemed mostly fulfilled.?
She remained standing and bowed her head as the prince passed, as protocol dictated.

(Hollywood/Diego)
Hollywood took her rightful seat and Diego sat next to her. She did not pet him like a pet, but gave him room and respect for what he was, a werewolf. Once she had taken her seat, everyone else in the room took one. Some did remain standing but ensured they were to the sides of the room and not in the center.

(Kitty/Katya)
Kitty and Katya followed with Scarlett in showing the proper respect. Once Hollywood had taken her seat, Kitty found a nearby bar stool and perched herself on the high seat. Katya opted for one of the lounges that had room for Scarlett if she wished.

(NPC Isabel)
Isabel waited for Hollywood to gesture before coming forward with the list of all those in attendance. Once the list was in her hands, Hollywood looked it over and then scanned to room to see who was there and who was on the list that was not there. She used the provided pen and made some marks on the paper before proceeding.

(Hollywood/Katya)
Hollywood was not one who was big on speeches, so she got right to the point, "I am glad to see those of you who value your life have decided to make an appearance, but I see that there are a few vampires who are on the city's rooster but are not in my presence. I would like to call Katrina?Deupree forward."?Katya quickly made her way forward, bowed, and waited.

"Ms. Deupree, please shed some light on the whereabouts of those in your employ?" Hollywood asked. Katya stood then and with a smile, "I have left them to ensure the business continues to run in my absence. I have given the latest numbers to Isabel." With a nod, "very well, they are reprieved from being reprimanded?for not appearing tonight. It is good to see that the blood banks are being well stocked. Thank you for coming and I am glad to see you are doing well." With a wave for her hand, Katya bowed and then stepped away from the dais?to return to her seat.

Hollywood then looked around and saw that there was no one else to call forward at the moment for a report, "I am open for introductions. If you have not formally introduced yourself to me before I went to slumber please do so at this time."

? ?She stepped forward, dressed in a tight black leather body suit and black leather jacket. Scarlett bowed, her red hair falling forward off her shoulders as she did so.
? ?"I am Scarlett MacAleister, formerly a Protector of the vampire nation," she announced herself. "I am at your service, your highness."

Scarlett would have blushed if she were capable. She bowed her head, "Apologies, sire. I have been investigating a drug cartel which is attempting to take root here in Raconteur City. It has challenged many of the local criminal syndicates and I know it is run by vampires, not of our city."

Hollywood listened to Scarlett and looked to Isabel who simply shook her head indicating that she was not aware of what Scarlett was telling them. Once Scarlett was finished, "I see. And of the local mobs, what have they done to try and stop this cartel? Do you have names of these vampires?" She asked more intrigued now of what Scarlett was telling her.

The two remained in their seats, but were both also intrigued by what Scarlett was saying. Katya quickly started texting one of her contacts to see if they have heard anything about this cartel. Hollywood listened to Scarlett and looked to Isabel who simply shook her head indicating that she was not aware of what Scarlett was telling them. Once Scarlett was finished, "I see. Scarlett nodded, ¡°The local gangs have sustained considerable losses. The two main crime syndicates here are the Jamaican Posse and a Japanese Yakuza Clan called the Red Lotus. Typical human gangs, they could be exterminated, and no one would miss them. This cartel, however, does not appear to be associated with our¡­community here. To my knowledge, they have not announced themselves to the Midnight Society, making this a territorial issue.

¡°The cartel calls itself Los Muertes and the front man here in Raconteur is a vampire called Javier Delgado,¡± she continued. ¡°They have been in communication with someone named Sofia in Northern Mexico, but I haven¡¯t been able to determine much more than that."
