Re: Raconteur City: The Summoning (Pyp, Kutsuki)
(Pyp)
[Kutsuki] When the demon revealed his name, Kutsuki made a sour face, sticking out his tongue. "Pyp?? Your name is _Pyp_?? What, did they run out of things to call you when you came to existence?? Dear pick-your-deity-here, I would've chosen a much better name," he heavily sighed, pinching the bridge of this nose.? Not only did he summon a buffoon, the one he got had an equally fitting name to boot.? He rubbed his forehead then moved his glasses up with his middle finger, peering back at the demon.? As much as he wanted to send this one back to hell, he didn't have anymore components that he needed to summon who he was really seeking.? The fact that Pyp was bismirching the effort that he took to procure these materials did rub him the wrong way, however.? "Say what you feel about the state of this room, but it got you here anyway, didn't it?? If you wanted to a rich bitch, then you shouldn't have gotten in the way.? Do? you have any idea how long it took me to find all this shit?? Ten years.? Ten fucking years, and instead of getting what I wanted, I got _you_."? Scratching his head, he tried to think of what other questions he could ask.? Suddenly, a light bulb went off in his head and he grinned in the most devilish way, not much more different than when Pyp flashed his fanged mouth at him. "Second question.? What is your greatest weakness?"? He couldn't wait to hear this one.? Since this demon was going to be what his namesake dictated, then he needed to know how to control him. [tag Pyp] |

开云体育(Gen)Water.? She was in water, Gen realized dimly, her thoughts still fuzzy and scrambled.? Slowly but surely, her senses began telling her things.? She was deep in water, judging by the pressure and the lack of light.? Breathing the water, judging by the way her gills had emerged and functioning properly.? Sea water.? Dirty sea water, from all the gunk her gills were having to filter out.? So, the bay. Somewhere in the bay.? Sinking slowly towards the bottom. ? The androgyne tested her hands and feet.? The webbing that helped her swim had also emerged, but her movements were jerky and awkward.? She felt... scrambled... inside.? Something had hit her.? She remembered a crackling and a bright flash, and then convulsing, falling helplessly through the air towards the dark water below.? Something had hit her. Lightning?? It would explain a lot.? Her being knocked out of the air, her difficulty thinking and moving, the jumbled, jangled up feeling in her limbs that was making even the simplest attempts at movement efforts of sheer will. ? Slowly, painfully, she began making her way to the surface. As she rose from the depths, a small amount of light, perceivable only because of her enhanced visual capability, began to emerge around her. ? Too much for starlight.? A full or partial moon perhaps? Finally her head broke through the surface of the water. Luckily the bay was calm and she was able to see around her.? The lights of the city on the shore, the smaller lights of ships moving through the harbor. Overhead, a crescent moon shone over the bay.? And in the dim distance, the ghostly pale outline of the lighthouse, perched on its island near the harbor entrance. It took what felt like hours to make her way to the island, though how much actual time was involved, she had no idea.? Pulling herself up on the rocky base was even harder than swimming, her muscles and joints screaming in protest.? Her body was doing its best to repair itself, but she'd never been hit this hard before. She collapsed halfway out of the water, breathing hard until she remembered to shift back to land-mode and her gills and webbing disappeared. She managed to make it to the door at the base of the lighthouse, but found it locked.? She rarely used it, after all, preferring to fly in and out from the balcony windows just below the lamp-room.? But flying was out of the question at the moment. Here was good, she thought wearily as she stretched out on the steps before the door, resting her cheek on the cold wet stone.? She'd just rest here.? Just for a minute.? Then she'd... do something.? Yeah. ? Then she'd... Darkness again. [Kites] Kites woke up the following morning by way of sunlight hitting him square in the eyes.? Getting up with a groan, he tried to blink the blindness away, his pupils shrinking to mere slits, pushing the covers off and slid his feet over the edge, taking a moment to come to.? He had totally forgotten to shut the curtains, having spent way too long brooding over what he was going to say and do before he finally gave up and headed to bed.? Though his nights were typically dreamless, this time his mind would not let go and so he restlessly tossed and turned, feeling like he barely got any sleep last night.? But he had no time to sit there and brood over it.? Time was a-wasting so he hurried at the thought of being able to see Gen and soon. Once he brushed his teeth and washed his face, Kites rushed over to his dresser.? He needed to wear something practical, something that wasn't going to get in the way.? His first thought was to wear his practice uniform, but it's still yet to be washed and wouldn't given Gen the wrong idea anyway.??Remember what you agreed to.? The conversation stays between you and Chord.? No talking about it, no hinting, asking or begging Gen to come back.? You gave your word, you promised.? Frowning, he picked a black and white ensemble, slipping on an open back undershirt, boxer shorts, light, cashmere sweater and black flared pants, completing the look with a pair of black socks and leather boots.? He finished up by braiding his hair, then reached for his shoulder bag.? Kites wasn't sure how long he was going to be away, even though he promised just a few days, so he threw in a couple of more things to change into.? But before he could head out the door, his stomach protested by loudly growling, giving him the hunger pangs that he almost ignored. "Fine, have it your way," he mumbled, heading back into his kitchenette.? He quickly threw some meats together, piling up his plate, scarfing it down at the speed, chasing it with a half gallon of water.? Once his belly was filled and his morning thirst quenched, he left the dishware upon the counter, making a mental note to clean up later and headed out the door.? He didn't have to think on where to go.? His feet automatically took him to the roof and wasting no further time, took off at a run and jumped off the edge, throwing his wings open and took off into the open sky. The morning was cold, even colder as he gained enough altitude though having a sun that was unimpeded by the clouds was definitely nice.? He smiled at the rush of wind at his face, enjoying the feeling of having his feather ruffled by each beat of his wings.? Of course, not having any warmer currents yet made it more difficult to fly, but he was built for this and having reached what he called his cruising altitude, he stopped flapping and let the air currents steadily carry him forward, having stretched his wings out to the max, soaring.? But enjoyment of the open skies aside, he was on a mission.?? Before Gen left, he begged Kites to come with him, offering for them both to live at his light house.? Port Vega being what it was, that should not be hard to find.? He began scanning the shoreline, having the benefit of a hawk's eyesight. Spotted!? Just by the end of the harbor, a narrow path made out of stone and beat up gravel lead to a lone lighthouse that stood steadfast against the beating waves.? Involuntarily, his lips curved into a smile as he began his descent, looking around the lone tower to try and locate the entrance by which Gen went in and out of.? Observing an open window surrounded by a metal handrail, Kites began to align himself with the path to it, his tail and wings making minute adjustments to correct his entry. Never having been seaside before, he was curiously looking around until he spotted something...no, someone splayed out across the steps to the lighthouse door.? Focusing his eyesight, he traced the shape until he realized it was none other than Gen, and he..she seemed to be frozen in place, not an inch of her moving. "G-gen!!" he cried out, thoroughly alarmed.? He immediately tucked in his wings and dove, opening up as he was within a thousand feet and then backpedaled, his feet alighting with the stone.? He almost slipped on the wet surface, cartwheeling to regain his balance and like a bullet, was at Gen's side.? What the hell happened?? His heart never beat so rapidly against his chest.? Gen was badly burned, her clothing charred beyond recognition.? Her clothing was ripped in several places, exposing her beautiful skin, its surface pockmarked by various welts and gashes, though they seemed to healing, several of them barely visible but still quite there.? Kites dropped to his knees, his arms stretching out to her as he gingerly touched her, hands badly shaking, feeling various places to see where else she may be hurt. "Oh God...Gen...Gen...what happened?!? Please, please, please, please, God, don't let it be true..." he babbled, wrapping his arms around her as he turned her over to her back, dropping to his knees as he gripped one of her wrists, trying to find a pulse.? He almost couldn't feel it, its presence barely perceptible.? Dropping to his knees, he laid his ear against her chest, listening for her heart.? Relief washed over him when he heard the beat, however weak it was, and felt her extremely shallow breaths settle over his face.? Gen was cold, so so cold.? Her fingers felt nearly frozen.? It didn't help that she was still in wet clothes too.? He began rubbing her hands, her feet, her cheeks, anywhere where her skin was exposed but not wounded, letting his hot breath settle upon the surface as he tried to bring her back to consciousness and warm her up. "Gen, I'm here.? Kites is here.? Listen to my voice.? Come back to me.? Please Gen," he begged, trying to shake her awake.? Panic began to well up in his throat like bile, making him feel sick.? "Please, wake up.? Please." [Harrison] After Harrison was done speaking to Brandon, she returned to her office. As she arrived her assistant Courtney arrived. “Excuse me Miss Harrison, there is something you need to see.” The woman pulled out an iPad and handed to Harrison. She watched sitting the YouTube video of Gen being viciously attacked unexpectedly. Thar made her frown. “Do we know who this is?” “Yes he calls himself Lightening Rod.” “And do we know where is she,” Harrison asked? “Yes we have confirmation that Gen made it back to her lighthouse. Kites is there with her. Harrison nodded. “Make the proper arrangements.” Harrison said? Her assistant nodded. “The helicopter will be waiting on the roof. I’ll have one of our best physicians here at the ready when you return.” Harrison stood. “I need to know the whereabouts of the team.? “Yes ma’am.” Courtney said. 20 minutes later, Harrison was in a helicopter flying across the city to the lighthouse. It landed on the roof and she came down the outside stairs to find the pair sitting on a stone path near the door. Moving closer, Harrison knelt. She lightly touched Kites arm “Let me help her.” she said Waited for Kites to move back so she could assess Gen. “We have a medical team on standby. She is going to be okay?” Harrison said. |

Brandon might have low jacked her phone.? ? Raine just made sure he called to check on her even though sometimes he was sure she sent his messages to voice mail on several occasions.? But she was still his baby sister and he the other brother and sometimes he would just protect her, her choice in boys left much to be desired, but she could protect herself some but whoa to the man or woman that put their hands on her.? He knew she wouldn’t tell dad or Brandon…she might not even tell him.? They were goody-goodies, he wasn’t even close.? She was family…hell Harrison was family if they called he would be there.? So if anyone got out of pocket he would put them in a hole a very deep hole and forget where he buried them. ? He turned in the signed clipboard and waited for the others he
would enjoy the time till he had to go.?
Maybe he would bring Keira here later, she liked to have fun too.? Take her mind off of a few things. ?“Ok lets go, Lead on.”? He said with a smirk. (Ireland) “Laser tag is gonna be awesome. They have two different kinds. I think we should play in the dark.” Ireland said holding their hands. “Oh and you know what you should try, the mechanical bull. It’s so freakin fun. I’ve done it before and I lasted about 4 second.” When they arrived at the laser tag room, Ireland turned to them and said “are we doing one team or every man for themselves?” (Mia) Mia thought about the mechanical bull, she would have to watch to see if she would really want to do something like that.? For some things, she was a little less brave for.? She was glad that Raine had decided to not try and get anymore information from her, she hoped that she had thrown him off enough.? "Oh, I definitely prefer laser tag in the dark and every man for themselves is the only way to go," said with a beaming smile. Tag: Raine, Ireland |
Re: A Pirates Life (Khadashee and Draven)
(Khadashee) Khadashee nodded but smiled. “I agree.” Khadashee was so glad that he had come to that himself. She wanted to trust him to make decision for them that was sound.?“I’m not exactly sure which way we should go to get back home. Did you see which way the ship went?” (Draven) "Ah, no, I was in our cabin with you," Draven responded to the question.? "Let's go and see the maps." He took her hand and lead her back to his cabin and signaled the quartermaster to follow.? Once inside they went to the maps on the large table.? "This is where we currently are," the quartermaster pointed out.? "And I believe this is where we need to go," he pointed to the continent of Africa and looked at Khadashee. "Which port did you think we were heading too, Khadashee?" Draven asked then stepped aside to allow her more space to see the maps. Tag: Khadashee |
Re: Blood Bonds: Family Ties
(Anais) “Okay the green one it is.” She said trying to hold her smile as he took the dresses away.??She blinked up at him as he took her hands. And at his words her head dropped and more tears fell. “I don’t think he was trying to punish. I know he wasn’t.” she said “My father loved me. ?Many of the vampires who came to visit him would look down on him for the way he treated me with such kindness and love and devotion. Even his wife Millicent would speak ill of me and call me a dog. But he always tried to protect me. And made sure my brothers loved and protected me too. What I did was a crime for a hybrid. He was trying to make it so no one would ever know.?I’m sure he was trying to protect me when he took my fangs.” She looked up at him. “Loosing my fangs never ever made me feel anything until now. You are the great Lord Draven Phillips. And I don’t ever want you to feel that you are settling with me. And that I am less than your expectation. Or that? You deserve so much better than a defanged hybrid.” (Draven) Draven smiled at her, he didn't argue about her father, but in truth the man was punishing her even if she didn't see it that way.? He listened to her and just nodded.? Then she spoke again of being less than.? "Now, stop that way of thinking.? True I am the great Lord Draven Phillips, which, my love, makes you the great Lady Anais.? I will never think that I am settling with you.? Now, stand up tall and be proud of who you are.? You are my everything and never forget it." Tag: Anais |
Re: Raconteur City: The Summoning (Pyp, Kutsuki)
开云体育[Kutsuki] Kutsuki was non-plussed when the demon attempted to intimidate him, his expression changing to one who was extremely bored.? He rolled his eyes, yawning as he moved to cover his mouth as he did so. "Is that supposed to be threatening?? Please, spare me your theatrics.? Put your shit away, you look like a clown," he retorted, lazily waving his hand about in the air, gesturing towards the imp's wings and appearance of his fangs.? Did the flower faced brat really think that he was that terrifying?? Kutsuki rolled his eyes, leaning back as he crossed his arms.? This demon really thought that he was going to intimidate Kutsuki into bending his knee to him, or something.? "You can think whatever you'd like about me.? I owe you no explanations.? However, I know for a fact that you interfered.? The summons weren't meant for you, and if you _really_ are who I'm looking for, then I must say, I am quite disappointed." Kutsuki took this moment to pace the perimeter, looking over his uninvited guest.? It wasn't lost on him that the demon just revealed two of his important rules.? One, that the demon needed Kutsuki in order to continue existing in this world, giving Kutsuki the upper hand.? Two, that if he commanded his summon to answer all the questions, then they would be sorely wasted.? So he had to take a little bit a different route to this. "You need me, huh?? We've yet to see whether I need _you_.? Just answer this _one_ question.? Who the fuck are you?" (Pyp) Pyp blinked, offended.? "A clown?"? But being in the circle limited his options and gave the white-haired stripling some degree of control over him, for the time being at least.? The demon shrugged again and his wings and fangs vanished.? "Been called a lot of things over the centuries," he muttered, red-eyes glaring at his summoner. "But never a clown." ? "Very well, then," he said, straightening himself up as if recovering his wounded dignity.? "Your first question.? I am Pyp. Also known as Pyp the Pyro, Pyp the Impertinent, Pyp the Pain in the Ass, and any number of other sobriquets in more languages than I can be bothered to recall.? I don't belong to any specific circle of Hell, so there's no title or rank adorning my name.? Pyp is all there is, and all you need to know to have me do your bidding." ? "And I'm pretty sure you need me," he added, grinning cheekily. "Otherwise you wouldn't have been trying to summon a demon. Especially so badly." He snorted, nodding his had at the materials arrayed at the points of the summoning diagram.? "I mean, seriously?? You really think that's the best way to summon a demon?? I bet _you_ wouldn't want to eat any of that crap!" Tag: Kutsuki |

开云体育(NPC Misty) Misty was just a little taken aback by the way the man answered his phone, but she put on a smile and responded, "Well, I am unsure about your pizza, but I will gladly pay for it for you, Lightening Rod.? I have been watching your videos for quite sometime now and well, was waiting for the right strike.? Watching that mutant fall from the sky sure was interesting.? I am calling on behalf of the Benders of Light and my name is Misty." (Roddy) "Wait, what?" Roddy blinked, then sat upright in an instant. "The Benders of Light?? I mean... _the_ Benders of Light?" He cursed himself, realizing he was sounding like an idiot.? "I've been hoping I'd hear from you.? That was why I created the website. Well, not the only reason, but the main one." "The mutant?" He frowned for a moment, then made the connection. "Oh! You mean the girl with the bat-wings!? Well, she had it coming.? She was harassing a client of mine."? A pang of worry suddenly welled up in his stomach.? "She wasn't one of you, was she?? I mean, a Bender?" Tag: NPC Misty _._,_._,_ |

How can I accept that love when I willingly left with him? I don’t deserve you.” She said looking down at her feet.? (Andrew) "You did nothing wrong, my love," Andrew murmured, drawing Evone' close once again. "Not in my eyes anyway. And for all that, I am not without my own hold of regrets.? Remember that it was I who first abducted you at your husband's unknown instigation.? That weighs heavily on my own conscience, and is something I must atone for." "We did not plan for any of this, but it did bring us together, you and I." He gently lifted her face up by the chin so that their eyes met once again.? "And what we have found with each other, I do not wish to see dragged down by regrets over what we might have done.? Let's keep our eyes, not on what's behind us but on what lies ahead." "I want you with me, Evone'," the captain of the Elusive murmured, smoothing away the tears from her eyes.? "That is the only truth I know.? And the only one that matters." Tag - Evone' |

[Luke] “Someone is talking about us,” Jones said. His ears were profoundly good at picking up voices.? Luke turned to look towards the entrance. He could just make out a trail of red hair and a figure that would melt a butter knife.? “I haven’t broke any laws have you?” Jones shook his head, “Not any, no where, no way, least anyone can stick me for.” Luke looked back at the chess board. “You know I win in twelve moves right?” “I know no such thing.” He moved a bishop. “That move makes it only six.” “Okay, I give.” Jones pushed over his king.? Luke turned his attention back to the redhead.? “You don’t want any part of that,” Jones said under his breath.? “That bad?” “I can smell them kind a mile away,” Jones whispered.? “Can we be of service Ma’am?” Luke said, helpfully.
