He wasn't going to press at the moment as she was at least not crying.? "Well, we were about 30 leagues that way when I brought you onboard from the Maiden Anne.? We left everyone for a little while, when I returned topside to let you rest I discovered that the other ships had all left, even the?Al¡¯Shukur.? I figured Sa'id would have at least waited for some kind of signal.? So, I had the ship turned for the sails to fall and we have just been waiting to see what you would like us to do." (Anais) Tears filled her eyes at his words. She turned towards the shower spray so he could not see how sentimental she was feeling. ¡°To think a little over a month ago we were not together. And now look at us.¡± She continued to wash her body and then his questions shocked her. ¡°What...why would you asked that?¡± She said nervously. But it made sense why he asked it. She turned from him. ¡°I do not have fangs.¡± She said softly. She went quiet then. ¡°When I was about fourteen I became angry. I asked to know more about my mother and he refused. We had words...heated words. I got drunk?off bloodwyne. I...I attacked and killed a few slaves on the grounds. He removed my fangs to make it so that, that never happened again and locked up all the bloodwyne on the grounds.¡± She stepped from the shower quickly in her shame. She then grabbed a towel and moved into the bedroom.?And then her closet. (Draven) Draven was surprised to hear the story.? Her father always seemed to be so kind to her.? He didn't get a chance to respond as she quickly left the shower.? He finished rinsing off, turned the water off, dried off, and followed her into the room with a towel wrapped around his waist.? Her keen sense of smell took in the delicious odor of the barbecue coming from the stovepipe on the back of the place and she remembered family picnics when she was a girl growing up in Chicago. Sometimes she missed things like food almost as much as she missed family and friends who were long gone.? ? ? ? ? ?As a vampire who had been reluctant to feed on people to survive, save for the occasional criminal or scumbag whom she was going to kill anyway. She survived off blood stolen from blood banks in the area and sometimes bought in the Raconteur underground. It was not an ideal way for a vampire to survive, but it was a way of life she had grown used to. ? ? ? ? The redhead walked into the BBQ joint and found Jimmy Buffet music playing on a jukebox. There were only a handful of people in the place, mostly around the bar having a drink. She sauntered up to the bar and took a chair as Eddie turned from talking to another customer and greeted her with a biug smile. ? ? ? "Good evening, pretty lady," he said, pouring on the charm. "What can I get you?" ? ? ? Alcohol did nothing for Scarlett, but she had loved it in her mortal life and at times she would have a glass, even though it no longer had the same affect. Still, in order to fit in at human establishments she sometime would partake. A glass or two would be fine -- much more than that and it would make her ill. Even vampires had their limitations, or so it seemed. ? ? ?"A glass of merlot?" she asked. ? ? Eddie laughed, "You are quite the lady, ordering wine in a BBQ joint." ? ? "You seem quite worldly," she smiled. "If you don't have any..." ? ? He raised his hands, "Say no more dear lady, merlot coming right up." ? ? As he poured her a glass, she looked around the restaurant and saw very few people here. It was a weeknight and the place was close to shutting down for the night. She took the glass and smiled at the bartender, "Cheers," she said, raising her glass. ? ? "So, I'm Eddie and this is my place," he smiled. "I'm going to jump to conclusions here and take a guess that you're not here to check out the wine in my BBQ place?" ? ? Scarlett smiled and reached into her jacket, pulling the photo of Billy Wright from the pocket. She placed the photo on the bar and looked at Eddie, "Recognize him?" ? ?Eddie looked at the photo and slowly nodded, his mood suddenly turning sad. "That's Billy. You police?" ? ?"P.I.," she said. "The family of a young man in New Orleans hired me to look into his murder. The case is similar to Billy's murder. Do you know anything about Billy? Who might have wanted him dead?" ? ?Eddie took a deep breath and slowly shook his head, "The boy got himself on the wrong track. It's a shame. But I didn't into his business. Sorry." ? ?She sensed he was holding back. Scarlett sipped the wine and slowly nodded, "Know anyone who might?" Eddie looked up and across the room at a pair of men sitting at a table.... ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýMarie d¡¯Aquitain left the jazz saloon and wandered among the crowds. Everywhere there were delightful humans in various stages of drunkenness or depravity. Things never changed. These were exciting times. The human scientists had developed miraculous toys since she last roamed the land. Shiny machines with round wheels tore through the streets. Gadgets that spoke were held to everyone¡¯s ear. The images within the picture frame moved and spoke. It was all very exciting and new. The blood however, was the same elixir for her as it had been all during her life. A strong young man walked by her and said something raunchy. It was the sort of verbiage she was used to. Men were uncouth and sick of heart. It had been her fortunate luck to have been granted a way to redeem women. She took advantage when she could. Life was only worth living if you did what you thought was right. She did so as much as she could. The man was a giant, six foot seven inches with muscles everywhere. He held the naked woman close. She¡¯d given him a name, but he¡¯d forgotten it. His thoughts were muddled, too much to drink he concluded. Her body was sensual as well as sensational. A terrible need had grown the minute he¡¯d spied her hanging around the Hotel lounge. She¡¯d been plainly dressed in a ¡®Mom gone shopping¡¯ sort of way. Her dark eyes begged him to fuck her. She rose up pulling him out of her then repeated the gesture to the boy's genitals. After a long shower she dressed and left the room a small baggie in one hand. On the bed the body of the once aspiring athlete lay prone and dead. Very little blood spotted the white sheets. |

You are here. Blaming your father, your team and Ireland. Maybe you and Raine are more alike than you too think.¡± ¡°this conversation is over, Brandon. Chord already told you how to improve, reflect on your conversation with him and if truly want to do better, you will , but right now I¡¯m too disappointed in you about how you handled your sister to continue. They have pool, bowling, roller skating And mini golf. But they also have interactive video games like laser tag and dance central and rock band and call of duty. But they also have a boardwalk like outside that has carnival and fair kind of games and ride. They have a pool, a hot tub and water ride. But in the basement they have more extreme games that you have to sign a waver to do, like rock climbing, indoor sky diving, bull riding, ax throwing, fire walking. And the best thing is you have to be at least 18 to get in so no kids.? Oh and the food is great.¡± ? As the cab pulled up in front of the Gorilla Club?Ireland frowned.? That was the second time Raine asked about Mia affiliation with Chord Industries? Why did he care? And Why didn¡¯t he think Mia has any affiliation with Chord Industries? Draven figured that Sa'id was then returning to their home land.? He would simply wait, letting the Serenity drift with the tides while Khadashee slept.? He knew that she needed to the sleep. He was enjoying the breeze when he looked up some time later and saw her crossing the deck.? He stepped from the helm and met her midship.? "You feeling any better?" He asked her hoping that she was. (Stowaway) The air under the boat had gotten warm, did he dare lift the edge?? He waited and listened, there didn't seem to be anyone near the boat.? He reached under the edge that he knew was against the bulkhead and lifted it just enough to slip the edge of the line that was under the boat with him, under the edge.? It created just enough space for some fresh air to flow into the space.? He waited and listened and didn't hear anyone rushing over.? Still unknown at that point.? (Khadashee) Several hours later Khadashee awoke. She was tired and her eyes hurt. But she was determined to no longer be emotional. Rising. She washed her body with the water and soap. Pulled her mane of curly red hair up into a bun and dressed in something light and airy. Slipping on her slippers, she threw up once, shook off the dread, gargled with the cup of water then left the cabin. As she moved amongst the crew, there was a soft serene expression she didn¡¯t feel on her face. But from this moment on she was determine to no longer be a wreck. Draven didn¡¯t like her like that. So she would get over herself and try to be okay with what she knew was coming. Even if it did hurt her.
