Re: The Door Between Two Worlds [Roue and Rabbit] (closed)
开云体育[Roue] No dreams came to Roue while he fitfully slept, having exhausted all of his energy the "night" before.? It's been a such a long time since he ever remembered having such satisfying rest, an emotion that followed him well into his waking moment as his eyes fluttered open.? Taking a moment to shake away the sands of sleep, he looked around to try and see if it was daylight out, but again, there were no windows and only a gut feeling to go by that told it was that time of the day.? That meant that it was time to get up and start the day, so he pulled his arms out from beneath the cover and fully stretched out, toes curling in pleasure as the cool room air settled upon him.? Feeling a small shiver go down his spine, he tugged the covers back up to his neck, but as he did so, his elbow suddenly brushed against something...a body..causing a wave of panic to well up like a ball in his throat, causing him to abruptly sit up, backpedaling till his back hit the wall, bringing his knees up to his chest.? What the hell...who the hell...and then it hit him. A headache wracked his brain like a pulsing spasm, his skull ringing like the set alarm clock.? Okay, sudden movement bad, he told himself, wincing as he gripped his head.? One could ask what the hell happened last night but the kind of ache that he was experiencing told him one thing of which he was 100% sure - he had been blacked out drunk.? Oh no...oh no oh no oh no oh no...that did not happen...not again.? He tried to think back to the events of yesterday, wading through a river of hurt, his legs naturally relaxing and sliding down but then his toes touched something warm and yet cool at the same time, and he hissed, immediately bringing his knees back up.? Keeping the cover tight over his whole body with one arm, he gingerly reached over with the other and pulled the other half of the comforter back, revealing no one else but Rabbit curled up by his side.? Biting his lip, his face drained of all colors as he took a minute to try and process why the hell Rabbit was in his bed and why, of all things, he was stark naked!!? Roue started to slide off the bed, carefully extricating himself from the embrace of the young boy, moving slowly so as not to disturb him, until his feet hit the floor and he quickly stepped away, keeping the comforter wrapped around. "Okay...okay...think, think, think," he mumbled to himself as he paced the floor back and forth, every now and then glancing at his bed mate to make sure he wasn't awake.? May be this is all a misunderstanding...that they just got too drunk, lumbered on "home," and then decided to just strip and share a bed...whatever was closest and easiest, right?? An arguably logical conclusion if there ever was one.? But he's been so careful not to consume any alcoholic drinks, specifically avoiding anything that smelled the slightest bit like it, so how is it that he could recall the bitter taste of spirits on his tongue?? Biting his thumb, the elf nibbled on fingernail so as not to try and lick his lips that were as dry as autumn leaves and his throat as parched as a desert.? He was deeply in denial, trying to force himself to reach any other conclusion except for THAT when the boy suddenly stirred in the bed, causing the elf to go into full panic mode.? Cover your tracks, run the fuck away!? Now!? These thoughts consumed him as the elf heaved the comforter back onto the bed, grabbing the pile of clothes that he'd previously discarded and slipped them on with the speed of lightning.? As soon as his feet slid into the loafers, he was out the door like a hunted animal. It wasn't until he reached the cafe area that he realized where he'd run to.? The place was a lot more populated now, with several patrons sitting at the bar and half the tables taken.? it must've been quite a sight though, to see a hyperventilating, sweaty elf as all eyes curiously turned to see who was making so much noise.? Deeply embarrassed, blood rushed back to his face, forcing him to glow a bright shade of pink as his eyes searched for the darkest, loneliest table, almost spiriting himself to one as soon as he found it.? Planting his ass into the air, he leaned over the table, wrapping his hands around his head as he groaned in despair.? A short moment later, one of the servers approached him, helpfully holding a menu at eye level. "Would you like something to drink, sir?" the girl asked, tilting her head inquisitively.? The elf answered her without looking up, too ashamed to look anyone in the eyes that moment. "J-just water, please...and lots of it..." he answered, not even realizing that he fully understood the language and that he was even able to answer.? The server girl then skipped away as he continued to wallow in his misery.? He's done it...he's done it again.? Got blacked out drunk, then more than likely forced himself on Rabbit and had his way with him.? Oh gods...he didn't think he had the willpower to face his own actions, nor Rabbit, if it came to admitting that... (Rabbit) Rabbit was just beginning to stir when he felt his bed-mate suddenly tense up. Did Roue suddenly remember what he'd done the night before and realize just what Rabbit was, the little vampire wondered nervously. Before he could say anything though, the elf had thrown the comforter over him and was, from the sound of things, hurriedly grabbing up his clothes and dressing. And then was out the door without a word. "F-fuck," Rabbit muttered, unburying himself from beneath the comforter as he sat up in the bed.? The spot where Roue had been was still warm, but was cooling rapidly now that Roue's deliciously warm body was no longer there to sustain it.? Roue had probably fled in fear, believing himself in danger. Which could be really bad since the elf was unfamiliar with how the doors in the Dionysus Club worked and could find himself hopelessly lost if he stepped through the wrong door at the wrong time.? Rabbit quickly dressed himself and hurried out into the main part of the club, hoping to find the elf before that happened.? He found Roue hunched over a table in one of the more secluded corners of the club's main room, sipping at a glass of something that looked like water and looking thoroughly miserable. Biting his lip, the little vampire approached the table, hoping the elf wouldn't flee at the very sight of him. ? "R-roue?" Rabbit ventured, his voice hesitant.? "Are you, uhm, you know, okay?" He fidgeted awkwardly, trying to think of what to say.? "I'm sorry 'bout, uhm, you know, what I did.? I mean, I w-wanted to tell you, but I couldn't figure out how to...." The little vampire blinked as he suddenly remembered something.? "W-wait a second.? I... I heard you s-sayin' stuff.? In English.? I know I d-did."? He peered at Roue suspiciously.? "C-can you understand me?? I mean, like for real?" Tag - Roue |
Re: Port Vega: The Real Test Begins.
开云体育(Brandon)?Brandon looked at his sister and she seemed to want to go
all in.? “Thank you!”? Was all he said as he stood up and left the
room.? He made his way to his room.? Seemed his actions had really
created more of a problem than anything.? He was not a natural born
leader, he had try to put forth more effort.? He didn’t trust himself to
lead beyond his head or his inner turmoil or his penis.? Since his father,
his sister and Harrison seemed to believe that is where he was leading from.? He went to see his father, the best or the most he could do was give the rest of the group a chance.? Ireland deserved to be here and she made it pretty clear she was a better leader than him.? He would leave the team if it would give the others a chance to be better without him. ? (Kat) Kat sat for a moment, not sure she heard what she heard. She understood what Chord and them were trying to do. The big picture as Mia had said but in her mind he took it a little to far. There were better ways to get the point across than the way Chord had tried. Still to just give up was not something she had thought he would have done. ? So, when Chord and Harrison walked out, Kat honestly couldn't believe it. She looked to Brandon, who just stood up and left. This made her even more confused. Not sure what to do she looked to the others. "I'm heading up to my room. I'm going to collect my stuff and head back to my old place. There is room if you all want to crash for a while."? ? Kat stood and headed for the door. As she did she stopped and turned around. "I don't want to leave. This is the first time in my life that I have been around someone like me. I don't want to lose my friends."? ? (Gen) Gen nodded to what Kites said, happy to hear that the winged youth's sentiments mirrored his own. He wanted to give Kites a supportive kiss or hug when he sat back down, but contented himself with a smile and a playful shoulder nudge, not wanting to risk even more disapproval from Chord or anyone else. ? He then listened to Mia say her piece, then glowered at the water controller as she sat down.? "I said I was sorry," he muttered, digging back into his food and stuffing his face angrily. "We can't _all_ be perfect." ? The androgyne wasn't prepared though for what came next, nearly choking on his food when Chord announced that he was disbanding the project and that they were on their own as of this morning. Then Ireland seeming to echo him in blaming everyone but Mia for this.? And then Harrison handing an envelope to Mia as she and Chord left the room. Gen felt sorry for Brandon as the man gave Ireland an injured look and a quiet "thank you" and then headed for the doors.? "It wasn't your fault!" he called out as the dejected man left the room, adding "Not all of it anyway" quietly to himself. ? "Me too," Gen said when Kat announced her intentions. Impulsively, the androgyne got up and went to the cat girl and hugged her tightly.? "I don't want to lose you either," he said holding her close, his voice choking a bit with emotion.? "Not any of you," he went on, glancing back at Kites with longing. His expression glowered a bit when he added "Not even you two" looking at Mia and Ireland. ? "The same goes for me too," he said finally, reluctantly releasing Kat and stepping back.? "I'm going back to my old place, and if anyone needs a place to stay, it's got plenty of room." He chewed his lip a bit, looking a little embarrassed.? "It doesn't have electricity or running water.? And you have to fly or swim or have a boat to get there. But it does have a great view of the harbor and the city skyline," he added, grinning weakly.? "Anyway, you're all welcome." The androgyne hesitated, then walked up to Kites and hugged him impulsively.? "Come with me," he said softly, looking up into the taller youth's eyes.? "I'll take care of you. It won't be as fancy or comfortable as this place, but at least we won't have to worry about pleasing anyone else." ? (Kites) I hope that you won't give up on us either...? These words echoed in Kites' mind far after Chord voiced his desire to disband the program, thanking them all of their honest thoughts.? He was completely stunned at what just transpired and in utter disbelief that this was it.? That they have failed to such a high degree that the company decided all these fledglings were not worth their time.? Sitting at the table without a single twitch or move, his eyes unfocused and stared into the distance, letting everything fade into the background as his ears closed off to the outside, everyone sounding as if they were in slow motion and had cotton stuffed into their mouths.? Heart and mind warred within his body, emotions arguing with logic, trying to process everything from start to finish, to make sense of all this chaos. ? A part of him had agreed with what Mia said, hating that he was admitting this to himself.? She had cut through the bullshit like she was parting water, precisely pointing out where and how everyone failed, making sure to single Gen out as a major pain point.? It made him feel angry, not just because he felt protective over the beautiful androgyne.? The way Mia spoke just felt so cold and unfeeling, very matter-of-fact that they all failed because of their inadequacies and she was the only one who was prim and proper.? Sure, she was the most mature out of all of them but all it did was make her seem uppity.? Add to their already hurting egos, Ireland also made her disdain clearly known as she spoke about her disappointment with them.? She who couldn't handle her own feathers being ruffled, expecting a total stranger to have known her weakness and walk on eggshells around it, well, this just further solidified his dislike of her and her presence.? It made his skin crawl, but it wasn't till Kat said something, turning to leave, and Gen's soft voice bringing him back from the edge, that he suddenly came to and broke out of the stupor in which he was in. ? "What?? Wait, Kat, no...please stay," Kites pleaded, suddenly jumping up from his seat as the chair fell to the floor with a loud bang.? He reached out for her hand but suddenly hesitated, stepping back.? He stood in the middle of the room, his hands balling up into fists.? Just as there was a side of him that agreed with the fiery redhead, there was another part that was decidedly unaccepting of this conclusion and the more he thought about it, the more he became incensed.? No...no...no, he was not leaving.? _They_ were not leaving.? Not Kat, not Gen, not him.? Chord.? He needed to talk to Chord, but not now and certainly not in the enraged state of mind that he was in.? Not if he wanted to deal with this calmly and logically.? He needed to get away, he thought, just as the androgyne approached him and enveloped him in a hug. ? "No," he sharply said, looking directly at Gen and at the same time through him, as if he was still lost in his own thoughts again.? When he realized how angrily he addressed his lover, he softened a bit.? "No, I...I need...I need time to think.? Sorry."? He returned the shorter boy's hug, but it was stiff, awkward and cold, especially with Mia and Ireland watching.? As much as he wanted to admit that he didn’t give a flying fuck about them, he didn’t want their fraternizing to be yet another point of contention.? Gripping Gen by both shoulders, he somewhat roughly?pushed him away and turned to head out towards the elevators.? It wasn't till later that he realized his fingers were digging into the palms of his hands, producing red, angry welts in his skin.? Whatever, it didn't matter anyway.? His feet took him past the training room, past the elevators, past whatever else this place held behind each wall, till he stood in front of the glass doors that led out into the city.? Hesitating for just a second, he decided to step out and as he did, he was hit with the hustle and bustle of the busy metropolis, myriads of sights and sound that assaulted all his senses.? Without a further ado, he disappeared into a nearby alley and took to the skies, wings beating harshly to lift him higher and higher, not stopping till he had cleared all of the towering skyscrapers. ? As he soared on the rising hot pockets of air, he closed his eyes, spreading his arms wide as he let the air envelop him in its warm embrace, closing his eyes.? Here, there were no expectations, no sense of failure or disappointment.? No, here was just the sky, the wind that gently ruffled his feathers, and the serenity that he so sorely lacked these days.? Some time had passed before he floated down, alighting with the roof of Chord's company building and found a bench upon which he sat, letting his wings droop as he pensively watched the city skyline. ?Going over his own actions, he suddenly realized how hurt Gen looked when he pushed him away that he felt like an idiot, bringing his hands up to his face and then screamed in frustration. ?He continued sitting there for a while, head supported in his hands, elbows on knees as he tried to calm himself down. ? (Mia) ? Then Mr. Chord said something about disbanding the project all together.? She knew they had failed, but really that badly.? She overheard Gen’s comment about being perfect, “I am far from perfect.”? She said in response as Ms. Harrison and Mr. Chord left the room and she was handed an envelope.? She got up from the table and went to a window away from everyone else and opened the envelope.? Simply said, “Meet me on the roof, please.? Ms. H”? Mia wondered what she had done to impress the woman who only a few days ago had more or less told her she could leave. ? She turned to the group as she folded the note and slipped it into her pocket, “Well, it seems that you all clearly don’t like me for whatever reason.? So, I am just going to say my goodbyes, thank you, and good luck.”? With that she left the conference room and headed for the elevator.? She just didn’t understand why she never fit in anywhere and she was tired of trying when others wouldn’t take the time to get to know her. (Ireland) Ireland wasn’t at all surprised what happened next.? Brandon and his punk ass only made things worse. Even in this moment he has a chance to be a leader and he blew it. Running away for invoking all the sympathy he needed and making things worse...setting the rest of the off. Now Kat was crying, Gen was getting catty with his comments and Kites was pushing the rest of them away. Gaw...Ireland tried really hard not to roll her eyes at the level of melodrama that was playing out before her. These people had known each for all of what...36 whole hours and they were acting like the had been friends since birth and Chord and Harry had just cruelly ripped them apart and sent then out to the wolves...not just told them to go home. Surely they knew It was possible for life any friendship and budding relationships for them to continue to exist beyond any ideas that MC3 had plan for them.?They must all be really young...and virgins...otherwise she had no understanding why they would all act this...this...dramatic. Because this was just too much for her.? She kept her face and body language unreadable as the scene unfolded before her. She was even good and didn’t laugh in Gen’s face when he looked at she and Mia in disgust...and spat out his words towards them.? Out of all of them, he was the one who was hard to take... she was so wrong about him. The other day, when he helped her out with that jerk, He seemed so cool and sweet and nice....Even Frankie like him And Frankie never liked anyone.?She wanted to get to know him more... But now...after hooking up with that Kites guy...he wasnt the same guy. He was now catty, disrespectful and rude...he had turned into a mean girl...just like Kites. And Ireland didn’t do mean girls.? When Mia said what she said and walk out. Ireland felt bad for her. Mia had just openly expressed just how much they made her feel left out. She?wondered if any of them would care.? They had their cliques and dicks...and Mia wasnt apart of that before...that was obvious yesterday and now since she had proven herself as free independent thinker...it was probably even more so for this group now. “Thanks Gen. The way you just spat those words out, the look of disgust in your eyes as you looked at me and Mia while you said, made it oh so believable.” She said standing up.? Ireland moved to the door, ?“The other day when I meet you...When you helped me with that jerk. I thought you were so cool. Right now...in this moment...not so much.” “It was nice to meet you Kat. Since you and Brandon are now a thing, I’ll probably see you again. Hey Mia, wait up.” She said leaving the room. She caught with Mia at the elevator. “Hey...you okay?” Ireland asked ? He said as he gave her a gentle kiss before letting her slip out of his arms so that they could finish getting dressed. They left the cabin and found the captain at the helm speaking with his quartermaster.? "Good evening, Captain.? Will you be wishing our company for the evening meal?"? He asked as he breathed in the salty sea air. Khadashee Sa’id and his right hand, a man she didn’t quite know what just stepping into view. He walked over to Draven and Khadashee. “My Queen, Captain.” ?He said to pair.? “Good Evening Sa’id” she said with a smile holding Draven’s hand She looked pale to him. Re: Blood Bonds: Family Ties
(Anais) Anais was the dutiful mannequin, doing as she was told and politely chatting with Ms. Rowena as she pinned her dresses. When the woman was done, Anais would have 5 dresses (which included 2 formal gowns) that would be sent to her.?Together she and Draven went home had lunch while the cars was packed up—they would be taking two cars--one for them and the other with all their needed items for this trip. As lunch finished, Anais received the message from Enoch said that he, Memnoch and Drusilla would meet them there. The journey took nearly a full day. Anais was tired. After the now 18 hours, she wanted a bath, a hot meal and to sleep curled up next to him. ?For now, she napped with her head in his lap, her feet up on the seat. The thunder rumbled through the sky. Occasionally, the sharp, searing flash of lightning scorched the air. Rain poured from thick clouds, saturating the earth with mud as the car pulled into the gates of the large drive of the Draven’s ancestral home. The car traveled down the long-narrowed limestone bridge. Underneath, exotic-looking fish swam and leaped from the water. Soon the large palace-like structure sat in the middle of acres and acres of lush rolling hills.
As the large structure loomed and grew before her, the red and gold ornate medieval crest of the finest of silk hung from the door. Just then the car drew to a stop before the door, the courtyard behind them. (Draven) As they pulled into the estate gates, Draven brushed Anais' cheek to gently wake her, "my love, we have arrived."? He thought she would like to see the place as it came into view.? His own apprehensions surfacing as he wondered what his family was going to think of her. He hadn't been home in many years, almost a decade.? He reached out and couldn't feel his father's presence.? He wondered if his father had passed and he had not been informed.? Why? The car pulled up under the driveway covering and there were many people moving about to figure out who would be attending to the new arrivals as Draven hadn't informed anyone that they were coming at all. Re: New beginnings (Katya and Ashton)
(Ashton) Ashton didn’t realized she was gone till she went to check on her.? He was so distracted with making her breakfast he didn’t notice her slip out.? So when he went into the room and didn’t find her there.? He was actually saddened by the fact that their connection was slipping.? He turned around and headed to the kitchen only to find her there sitting at the table. She was waiting for him and looked…very sexy in her exercise
outfit.? She seemed content but he knew
something was wrong for her to slip out and back in without letting him
know.? He moved to set the food before her
before getting is own plate.? He poured her
something to drink and kissed her cheek instead of her lips thinking she had
something to say about her present state of mind.??“So what is it my love?”?
He asked as he sat looking at her licking his lips as he focused on her. (Katya) Katya took the breakfast and was thankful for Ashton's efforts to cook for her.? But she really didn't eat as she wasn't in the mood for food.? She was a vampire after all and preferred blood or alcohol to food.? She went to liquor cabinet and pulled out some bourbon, a glass and returned to the table, "How was last night?" Tag: Ashton |
Re: Port Vega: The Real Test Begins.
(Ireland, Chord, Harrison) When Mia was done speaking she wanted to clap and shout yes! Finally someone who got it. But even though that was her character, even though that’s how she felt saying that would have been totally out of line. So she remained quiet.? ? She also didn’t take her turn to speak “I was not in the room during the exercise so I don’t think it would add to the conversation for me to speak my thoughts on yesterday” she said softly. ? Which was true. She didn’t think anyone wanted to hear how she thought they were all sexed crazed teenagers who were squandering a mass opportunity. ? She wondered if Kat and Kites realized just how telling their behavior and innuendos were as they sat. It was a small conference room and they were all sitting at the same table. You would have to deaf and blind not see what was going on with them. ? Even Brandon. Did he really just send her a text while sitting there. Really dude? She was a bit surprised when she saw him looking down at something under the table and realized it was his phone when her phone vibrated against her back side. ? God...this guy. It made her wonder just how old everyone was. They all seemed so young and a bit immature...everyone but Mia. She actually seemed to be the most mature out of all of them...even her.. even more so than Brandon and he was older than all of them and had been with Chord the longest. When everyone was finish speaking Chord’s deep thoughtful brown eyes meet Harrison’s across the table. Although the look the two shared was unreadable, it would be obvious in the room that the two shared a moment.? ? After a beat, he nodded his head. And steepled his hands. “I just want you all to know that I appreciate what all of you have said here today.??Really I do. We asked you to speak up because we wanted to hear your thoughts on the matter. Find out where all of your heads are. Thank you all for sharing so freely. ? ? “Mia is right.??In everything she said. I explained that very same sentiment after Gen’s expressed her feelings yesterday. Thank you Mia, for not just hearing me but for taking the time to understand me through whatever hurt feelings my unfiltered honesty may have caused.”?He nodded a soft smile to Mia.? ? “With that being said, After yesterday and last night and today, Harrison and I have come to a decision.” He paused,?“We have decided to disband this program effective immediately.??We realize that what we want for this program, what we want to accomplish is not properly lining up with the thoughts, ideas, goals, values and interest in the way we would like.?Knowing this, having a full understanding of the current and potential conflict this clash would cause if we continued would not be conducive to the necessary team growth needed to form strong long lasting bonds of trust, camaraderie and confidence between you and I and Ms Harrison and that would just be unfair and cruel to all of you. Contrary to what some of you may think. Cruel is never what I aspire to be... with anyone. ? “Thank you all for the time that you have given. I truly appreciate it. It was a pleasure to meet all of you. My door is always open if you should need anything.? Please stay and have your fill of breakfast. Whatever is left you are welcome to take with you. The clothing that has been provided for you for this week is yours to keep if you want it. so is the food in the mini bars. A car will be provided to you within the hour to take you anywhere in the city you would like to go.?Godspeed and Good Luck with you for you future endeavors. “ ? And with that he stood and moved towards where Harrison was sitting. She was about to speak, but Chord shook his head. And with that Harrison sighed softly and also stood. Harrison nodded to the occupants of the table and moved to fall into step beside Chord. As she moved past Mia, she handed the young woman an envelope. Chord opened the door held it open so that she could pass through and then the two left. Ireland looked up at Brandon. She was stunned but not at all surprised by what just happened. ? "Wow. Wow. The three of you are just something else. And Brandon I am so disappointed in you.” She said she was going to keep her thoughts to herself. Damn but she failed miserably with that one. ? (Brandon)? Brandon looked at his sister and she seemed to want to go
all in.? “Thank you!”? Was all he said as he stood up and left the

? Before the ones ye most likely know of when they became monarchs of the United Kingdom. But as ye can see, more was added as the years passed. Soon the large palace-like structure sat in the middle of aches and aches of lush rolling hills. ? High Moon Tales. Tales of the Wicked West.
(Callie Carson)
? ? ? Callie took a step toward Etienne, but thought twice about backhanding the mouthy woman. Chase, though, stepped in and talked to the woman about "quieting down" and went on to speak of an undead woman and of needing this Etienne's help ? ? ?"Wait," Callie muttered. "Let's get this straight, this guy kidnapped you. Right sheriff?" ? ?Sheriff Miller was at his desk, drinking from a flask he'd pulled out of a drawer there. He looked at the redhead, eyes bewildered, "I...reckon so." ? ? ?"And you," she looked to Chase. "What's this about an undead woman? Can you both just tell us straight up what is going on? It may help all of us get out of here alive...please." ? The door rattled hard again and the wind's howling roared outside the windows. Callie was afraid the walls of the sheriff's office would not hold the demons off for much longer. ? (Flynn) ? Between the howling of the storm, the hammering of the demonic mob on the doors and walls and the back-and-forth going on between the others inside the sheriff's office, it was getting difficult for Flynn to maintain his reverie. Also, there was the matter that they were clearly running out of time. ? ? "I don't mean to rush things," the pookah said without lifting his head or opening his eyes, "but I think we got maybe one minute before that mob out there busts in here and starts tearing into us. Now I can stop some of 'em, and I know some of you can stop some more, but unless you're ready and able to kill every last person in this town, we need to get out of here before that happens." ? Flynn paused a moment to let that sink in before continuing.? "Now I can get us out of here, but only to one place and only one time.? I'd rather we use that to get to Miller's Crossing, but I've never been there and so I cain't do it by myself. So if any of you folks have been there and have a really clear memory of some place there with a door, now's the time to say so.? Otherwise, the best I can do is get us to the train station in Cullenville, which is sixty miles in the other direction." The pookah lifted the edge of his hat just slightly and nodded at the door being pounded by the mob outside. "And in case there's any doubt, this ain't up for debate. The moment I hear that door start to splinter or come off its hinges, I'm gone." ? [Sicilien] ? Just as things started to get more heated between Callie and the Sleeping Beauty, Sicilien couldn't help but feel his mouth twist into an almost sadistic grin, one hand going up to slide his hat down just enough to reveal the top half of his face, hiding the rest behind the wide brim.? Callie looked like she was about to deck the woman who seemed to be able to give as much as she received, and had it not been for the efforts of the white knight Chase, who rushed to put a lid over that boiling pot, the bounty hunter was dead sure that the two would go at it like two rabid cats.? Alas, t'was not to be.? Having been denied a bit of a show, he couldn't help but add in his own two cents, albeit as unwanted as they may have been. ? "Sure you are "kidnapped," and I s'pose those are your "knights in shining armor" so desperately trying to rescue their fair maiden?" he retorted, pointing at the door which, to its testament of strength, was somehow able to withstand the storm of claws outside, though it was starting to look like it was bending inwards.? As much as he wanted to upkeep that conversation however, Flynn was right.? They didn't have time for chit chat, and every second they wasted was a second they got closer to being dog food.? The sheriff was no help either, taking to the bottle as he stayed quiet, hoping that they and the rest of the world would forget about his presence.? Letting the chair tip forward, Sicilien placed both elbows atop his knees once his feet felt solid ground and pleated his hand upon which he rested his chin, darkly looking over the ragtag team of hardy adventurers. ? "Kerfluffery aside, we need to get the hell out of dodge, and fast.? Don't know anything 'bout Miller's Crossing, and it seems no one in this hellhole does either" he said, turning to Flynn.? "But anywhere's better than here.? Flynn, what'd it take for you to spirit us out and how long would you need?"? He reached for his coat and sniper rifle, racking in a bullet just in case he'd have to use it. ? Etienne ? When the redhead step forward, Etienne sat up. Her feet touching the floor. Her hand curled into a fist. Waiting. Ready. When the woman back down, her eyes turned and narrowed on the ass who had followed her from Vulture City. “I never asked to be apart of any of this and I will thank you kindly if you would let me go.” Etienne said. ? When the other two men chime in, she stood and turned to walk to the window. She frowned as she looked out. She didn’t see anything but dust and wind. Howling wind. “There doesn’t seem to be anyone out there,” she said looking out the window through the bars. ? ?Chase Chase was not in the mood for a catfight even though a part of him wanted to see it himself.? They needed one another and not all battered and bruised.? He breathed as he looked at them.? “No, I did not kidnap her!? I am not a monster!”? He said leaving out the word completely, part of him was though.? Chase wanted to be diplomatic seems everyone thought he was some knight to the damsel…but he was far from it and the woman thought the other man was her night and wanted nothing to do with Chase from what he reckoned. He deep down just wanted her safe and he wanted his life back and that rested in Miller’s Crossing where they all needed to go to get free…him most of all! ? ?“She called herself homunculi…some nonsense like that and wanted to detain us….however, she could. Some more easily than others.” He said thinking that his loneliness nearly got the better of him. “Get everyone out then, I can hold them off should they get in.? Ten minutes do or you need longer?”? He asked as he would take off his shirt leaving on only his vest for his top, the pants didn’t rip but he would like to keep the hat so he put that on his lanyard and waited for them to move as he moved to bar the door a bit more to have a little more time. ? “Can you all get a move on already?”? He asked rolling his back as he prepared for the slight pain that he knew was bound to come with his change.? If Etienne didn’t like him before…she damn sure wasn’t going to like him now.? She might very well not let him touch her again. ? But it wasn’t something he wasn’t used too. ? “They are demons…their form is loose so they can hide in the wind but they have to be solid to attack. ? Now go!”? He said holding of his change for as long as possible. <Charity> Charity danced. She'd been dancing for hours, dancing as a madwoman, still nude, and now in the town square of Millers Crossing. The few 'townsfolk' who were about at this hour ignored her, as they did the pounding of her drum. Although ignored, Charity's drumming? overlayed the town, and everything in it and the surrounding countryside seemed to move to it's rhythm. As her dance reached its crescendo, her movements, now in a flurry of naked flesh, she stopped dead and simply stood still as pond water. Sweat dripping off of the wendigo's mortal form was her only motion. Even the town and countryside seemed to pause for a moment, until a coyote howled far off in the distance, breaking the spell. ?
In Bendo the spirits of bear, wolf, and coyote shrieked outside of the sheriff's office along with the others, both natural and unnatural, clawing at the pokie. Just as Charity finished in Millers Crossing the maelstrom outside the hoosegow stopped, plunging Bendo into total silence. Outside, in the streets, every mortal human who had drank the water left their abode and dropped dead. Somewhere, far in the distance, a coyote howled. Sheriff Miller stood up, and before any of the others could challenge him he dropped to the floor. In an almost inaudible whisper, as if the ghost of ol' Dan were still present, he said, "they all daid." Then Sheriff Miller, too, died. tag?Chase, Callie, Flynn, Sicilien, Etienne, Charity (jumping in) |

"I can feed myself," the Dragon protested, reaching weakly for the ladle the girl was holding out, the delicious smell tantalizing his nostrils and making his mouth water. The effort though was too much and his taloned forearm fell back to the dias without the ladle in hand. "Oh, very well," he sighed, grumpily giving Mikayla a resigned but still stubborn look.? "If it will make you happy, you may feed me." ?- Mikayla - Mikayla kept her smirk to herself. After all she could tell she was brushing his pride and she didn’t want to do that. “Thank you. I like to feel useful. Especially after all the trouble I caused.” She said ladling the soup in his mouth. “it smells really good. I have come to learn that Angus is a fabulous cook. So I am sure it is delicious.” She said giving him more. “It’s it warm enough? Do you require drink?” She said genuinely concerned. ?

Re: High Moon Tales. Tales of the Wicked West.
开云体育?Chase) Chase knew her name from the previous town.? It didn’t escape him.? He realized he didn’t need the more defenseless woman going up against the company woman.? That didn’t seem like? a fair fight at all even though he was sure Etienne was far from clawless.? “Calm down woman.? No one is kidnapping you….”? He paused in essence he was…she wasn’t going to get away till they made it to Miller’s crossing as she was needed to free the lot of them.? “…ok so we are, but your presence is needed…you and I both know what the undead wench said back there…you would needed to free not only us but yourself.? So we don’t confront it…you running won’t escape anything for long.? So I…we need your help.”? He asked rather than demand since he couldn’t force her to do anything. (Callie Carson) ? Callie took a step toward Etienne, but thought twice about backhanding the mouthy woman. Chase, though, stepped in and talked to the woman about "quieting down" and went on to speak of an undead woman and of needing this Etienne's help ? ?"Wait," Callie muttered. "Let's get this straight, this guy kidnapped you. Right sheriff?" ?Sheriff Miller was at his desk, drinking from a flask he'd pulled out of a drawer there. He looked at the redhead, eyes bewildered, "I...reckon so." ? ?"And you," she looked to Chase. "What's this about an undead woman? Can you both just tell us straight up what is going on? It may help all of us get out of here alive...please." The door rattled hard again and the wind's howling roared outside the windows. Callie was afraid the walls of the sheriff's office would not hold the demons off for much longer. (Flynn) Between the howling of the storm, the hammering of the demonic mob on the doors and walls and the back-and-forth going on between the others inside the sheriff's office, it was getting difficult for Flynn to maintain his reverie. Also, there was the matter that they were clearly running out of time. ? "I don't mean to rush things," the pookah said without lifting his head or opening his eyes, "but I think we got maybe one minute before that mob out there busts in here and starts tearing into us. Now I can stop some of 'em, and I know some of you can stop some more, but unless you're ready and able to kill every last person in this town, we need to get out of here before that happens." Flynn paused a moment to let that sink in before continuing.? "Now I can get us out of here, but only to one place and only one time.? I'd rather we use that to get to Miller's Crossing, but I've never been there and so I cain't do it by myself. So if any of you folks have been there and have a really clear memory of some place there with a door, now's the time to say so.? Otherwise, the best I can do is get us to the train station in Cullenville, which is sixty miles in the other direction." The pookah lifted the edge of his hat just slightly and nodded at the door being pounded by the mob outside. "And in case there's any doubt, this ain't up for debate. The moment I hear that door start to splinter or come off its hinges, I'm gone." [Sicilien] Just as things started to get more heated between Callie and the Sleeping Beauty, Sicilien couldn't help but feel his mouth twist into an almost sadistic grin, one hand going up to slide his hat down just enough to reveal the top half of his face, hiding the rest behind the wide brim.? Callie looked like she was about to deck the woman who seemed to be able to give as much as she received, and had it not been for the efforts of the white knight Chase, who rushed to put a lid over that boiling pot, the bounty hunter was dead sure that the two would go at it like two rabid cats.? Alas, t'was not to be.? Having been denied a bit of a show, he couldn't help but add in his own two cents, albeit as unwanted as they may have been. Etienne When the redhead step forward, Etienne sat up. When the other two men chime in, she stood and turned to walk to the window. She frowned as she looked out. She didn’t see anything but dust and wind. Howling wind. “There doesn’t seem to be anyone out there,” she said looking out the window through the bars. tag?Chase, Callie, Flynn, Sicilien, Etienne, Charity (jumping in)) _._

Re: Port Vega: The Real Test Begins.
(Mia)
[Kites] I hope that you won't give up on us either...? These words echoed in Kites' mind far after Chord voiced his desire to disband the program, thanking them all of their honest thoughts.? He was completely stunned at what just transpired and in utter disbelief that this was it.? That they have failed to such a high degree that the company decided all these fledglings were not worth their time.? Sitting at the table without a single twitch or move, his eyes unfocused and stared into the distance as everything faded into the background as his ears closed off to the outside, everyone sound as if they were in slow motion and had cotton stuffed into their mouths.? Heart and mind warred within his body, emotions arguing with logic, trying to process everything from start to finish, to make sense of all this chaos. A part of him had agreed with what Mia said, hating that he was admitting this to himself.? She had cut through the bullshit like she was parting water, precisely pointing out where and how everyone failed, making sure to single Gen out as a major pain point.? It made him feel angry, but not because of Gen, but how cold and unfeeling she seemed to be about the whole thing.? Like it was a matter of fact that they all failed because of their inadequacies and she was the only one who was prim and proper.? Sure, she was the most mature out of his ragtag group of fledglings, but all it did was make her seem uppity and holier-than-thou.? Add to their already hurting egos, Ireland made her disdain clearly known as she spoke her disappointment with them before disappearing through the same door that Chord and Harrison stepped through.? If he hadn't already disliked her, she who couldn't handle her feathers being ruffled, a total stranger to walk on eggshells around her hidden weakness, well this further solidified his despisal of her and her presence.? It made his skin crawl, but it wasn't till Kat said something, turning to leave, and Gen's soft voice bringing him back from the edge, that he suddenly came to and broke out of the stupor in which he was in. "What?? Wait, Kat, no...stay, come back," Kites pleaded, suddenly jumping up from his seat as the chair fell to the floor with a loud bang.? He reached out for her hand but she had already gone into the hallway that led them back to the elevators.? He stood in the middle of the room, his hands balled up into fists.? Just as there was a side of him that agreed with the fiery redhead, there was another part of him that was decidedly unaccepting of this conclusion.? The more he thought about it, the more he became incensed.? No...no...no, he was not leaving.? _They_ were not leaving.? Not Kat, not Gen, not him.? He could care less about Mia and Ireland.? They could fuck off to wherever they came from for all he cared.? Chord.? He needed to talk to Chord, but not now, and certainly not in the enraged state of mind that he was in.? Not if he wanted to deal with this calmly and logically.? He needed to get away, he thought, just as the androgyne approached him and enveloped him in a hug. "No," he sharply said, looking directly at Gen and at the same time through him, as if he was still lost in his own thoughts.? When he realized how angrily he addressed his lover, he softened a bit.? "No, I...I need...I need time to think.? Sorry."? He returned the shorter boy's hug, but it was stiff, awkward and cold, especially with Mia watching.? To hell with her, but he still didn't want her using that as another point of contention.? Gripping Gen by both shoulders, he roughly pushed him away and turned to head out towards the elevators.? It wasn't till later that he realized his fingers were digging into the palms of his hands, producing red, angry welts in his skin.? Whatever, it didn't matter anyway.? His feet took him past the training room, past the elevators, past whatever else this place held behind each wall, till he stood in front of the glass doors that led out into the city.? Hesitating for just a second, he decided to to step out and as he did, he was hit with the hustle and bustle of the busy metropolis, myriads of sights and sound that assaulted all his senses.? Without a further ado, he disappeared into a nearby alley and took to the skies, wings beating harshly to lift him higher and higher, not stopping till he had cleared all of the towering skyscrapers.. As he soared on the rising hot pockets of air, he closed his eyes, spreading his arms wide as he let the air envelop him in its warm embrace, closing his eyes.? Here, there were no expectations, no sense of failure or disappointment.? No, here was just the sky, the wind that gently ruffled his feather, and the serenity that he so sorely lacked these days.? Some time had passed before he floated down, alighting with the roof of Chord's company building and found a bench upon he sat, letting his wings droop as he pensively watched the city skyline.

Re: The Door Between Two Worlds [Roue and Rabbit] (closed)
(Rabbit)
[Roue] No dreams came to Roue while he fitfully slept, having exhausted all of his energy the "night" before.? [tag Rabbit] |
Re: Whispers in the Dark - Scheherazade, Callum
开云体育(Margaret) ? Margaret brought in the tray of seasoned lamb chops that she'd prepared and set it on the table. She glanced at Greyson's face and became concerned.? "Are ye alright, Master Greyson?" the housekeeper asked.? "Ye look like ye've seen..." she hesitated before she'd said what her first thought was.? "...like ye've had a fright.? Is there anything wrong?" ? -Greyson, Marcellus and Alexandria- ? Greyson blushed a bit at Miss Margaret’s perceptiveness. “I am find Miss Margaret. My apologies for worrying you. It is just that my weekend romp to the other side of the globe must come to an end. It would appear I am needed at work. And I have to fly out tomorrow.” Greyson said ? “Yeah, Me too.” Marcellus said. ? Alex sighed. “That would make three of us. But I feel bad about leaving Sammy here alone. Its just so much.” ? (Callum) ? "And a good afternoon to ye, Mistress Scheherezade," Callum said genially, acknowledging her greeting with a smile and a respectful nod.? "Though ah must point out that ah'm not properly speaking a 'sir'.? If yer wanting to be formal, the proper form of address would be 'Laird Callum'. But since ye are from the colonies, ah dunna think anyone will take it amiss if ye just call me Callum."? He laughed as he added "Anyone except for Wee Jaimie, that is.? The lad means well, but he gets upset when he thinks the proper traditions are not being observed." ? "So, Mistress Scheherazade," Callum said, moving to fall in step beside her, "what would ye most like to see and hear aboot? It's a fine clear day for walking aboot the grounds." ? - Scheherazade - ? Colonies…she didn’t think she had everyone heard anyone called the US colonies except in books. Sam offered a warm smile. “Callum it is. But only if you will please drop the Mistress and called me Sam. Noone ever calls me ?Scheherazade,” she said with a smile even is he did rather liked how he said her full name. ? “And I think I would like to hear it about it all. This place is so grand and there are so many knooks and crannies someone can get lost in. I think I am going to like exploring here. I have always been a rather curious sort. So tell me Callum, How did you come to live and work here at the castle. Have your family been here long? Miss Margaret said her family has served here for generation I fact that I find ?fascinating. To me its incredible to be able to trace your roots back that far. I actually had no idea I was apart of the Connery Family tree until the lawyer sent me the papers saying that my great uncle had died and the castle now belonged to me. I am sorry. I am babbling.” She blushed. “please forgive me.” _._,_._,_ ? |
