Jones nodded and walked out past Scarlett. He gave her a wide berth. ? When Jones was gone Luke gestured at one nearby table. ¡°You have time to talk?¡± ? Eddie called over, ¡°You need something Skip?¡± ? ¡°I¡¯m good, thanks.¡± ? He sat down in the chair and glanced up when Scarlett joined him. ? ¡°I have a few places I can check for information,¡± Luke said. He gave her another long look. ? ¡°I can pass along the information if any when it comes in. How do you want to be informed? Phone?¡± ? ? (New Scarlett MacAleister) ? ? Scarlett caught the positive vibes coming from the one called Luke, but the ¡®were¡¯ was definitely only helping because the human wanted him to. She sensed his distrust and negative attitude. It was understandable. The hatred between vampires and werewolves was legendary. ? The redhead took a card from her jacket pocket and handed it to Luke. ¡°Cellphone, text and email are all right there. I appreciate any help you can give.¡± ? She looked to Jones, ¡°Thank you for listening.¡± ? The girl then placed some money on the bar to cover the wine she¡¯d barely touched, and she turned and left for the door. ? She¡¯d had her friend, Snow, open up her Raconteur apartment earlier in the day. She¡¯d miss New Orleans, but she didn¡¯t mind the change of pace here. It had been some time since she¡¯d been in Raconteur longer than a few hours. ? No doubt the vampire world in the city had already heard of her return. She wondered how long before she was visited by one of ¡°her kind¡± to warn her about keeping her nose out of vampire affairs. She wasn¡¯t known as the ¡°Exile¡± for no reason. ??? I hope they get their shit together by the time we get to Miller's Crossing." ? ?It was human emotions like this, what was happening between the love triangle of these three, that the demonic preyed upon. (Katya) Katya sighed at that point and since he asked a direct question since he obviously wasn't getting the point she would give him a direct answer, "No, I am not." Her business was hers and up until now had been kept under the radar.? "We need to find out who sent you there in and that is what we are going to concentrate on, love." She hoped that he would let it go at this point and focus on what is really important at the moment. ? ?Devi had seen the one man come in. He moved to sit in the back in a dark corner. She watched him till he noticed her. He gave the two fingered salute, she nodded then turned towards another who had just walked in. He walked to the bar and ordered a warm saki. Devi had not seen Ace in quite a long time. She hadn't been sure he would show. So when he looked over and spotted her, she gave him a grin.? ? ?"Long time indeed." She took a sip of her cold milk. "See you are still drinking that warm piss water." She grinned.? Tag Ace ? ?Devi looked down at her com screen when it buzzed. ¡®Until further notice all outbound flights are grounded. You will be notified when departures are permitted.¡¯ Devi shook her head. She had been about to say something to Ace when she heard the man from the corner approach. She turned to grin at him. "Yes, I am currently looking for a crew." She looked him up and down for a moment, took in his scent. "Straight to the point. I like that." She looked to the Frame (AI) behind the bar. It was an old Frame, one of the very early models. She pointed to a nearby table, held up her drink, then looked to both Ace and the new guy. (Dale) "Lets sit. Better than sitting up here." And he wanted more than he was currently getting out of it.? Would these Benders of Light turn out to be the next step up?? There was only one way to find out. ---- Roddy couldn't help feeling nervous as he walked through the park towards the forest.? Part of it was from unease - he kept looking around, wondering if he was being watched - but part of it was from anticipation.? He lit a cigarette to try and calm his nerves.? It didn't really help but he took a drag on it anyway. When he reached the edge of the park, he found a small path leading into the forest.? Not seeing any other obvious route, he shrugged and took it.? "Woman in green," he muttered as he walked along the path.? "There's supposed to be a woman in green."? Dale was tired. The scooter that had dropped him off was a relic. He was stiff and sore from the flight. It hadn¡¯t been cheap. He ordered a stiff drink and huddled down in a dark corner to wait. There had been a freighter in the main dock. They¡¯d needed his services. It was just what he was looking for. There was only one problem, the captain was Avery Peck. His reputation had gotten around the spheres and it wasn¡¯t good. Maybe he could have taken the job. It would have been likely he never had to even come into contact with the ill-mannered Captain. Another job had crossed the notice list, and he thought it wise to check it out. He could always go back to Peck. The crowd was light with mostly mechanics and dusters. He didn¡¯t like landers much. They didn¡¯t think or act like spacers. Everything had to be right now. They were very impatient. Something he was very good at. His telecom beeped. The contact had entered the bar. No, they were already in the bar but had initiated the contact trace. He looked around the room. It wouldn¡¯t be a lander. He spotted the FemCat. She was looking right at him. He felt the hairs rise on the back of his neck. She was the contact. He gave her a two finger salute. He was about to get up when a caution flag crossed his screen. He studied the notice. ¡®Until further notice all outbound flights are grounded. You will be notified when departures are permitted.¡¯ ¡°Vercet Lute!¡° Dale said under his breath. What was going on now? He looked back up at the FemCat. She seemed preoccupied. He wandered over to her seat. ¡°Are you looking for a crew?¡° He felt silly asking a FemCat this straight forward question for some idiotic reason.

She ran around the place figuring out the layout, without running into the other two and then was back to the beginning.? She had found a pretty neat hiding spot, but figured the other two would try and hide as well, and well, what would be the fun in that if all three were hiding from each other. He moved not using his speed but he was able to shift into the shadow, he zapped about four people before seeing Mia moved along the way.? He grinned when he caught view or Ireland.? So with a well place shot he zapped Mia.? Pausing just long enough to let Mia reset before stepped out of the way to let her get a shot on him, but his movement would let her shoot Ireland instead while he got away if she pulled the trigger.?? He moved to circle back knowing were both of them were, he shot two more people on the way out and a couple of novices that were clearly in his way before he took a bead angle on Ireland once again.? He was glad whiner baby wasn't here, in truth he just missed having fun with Ireland...just the two of them...three right now.?? He texted Keira.? <<Be back home in an hr.>>? This was him clearing his head not thinking about his partner/boss in the wrong way as even he had to admit he was more than interested in her but for now they had kept it friendly professional but maybe now they were both pushing the envelope a bit more to which he didn't mind at all.? He was about to smile thinking of tasting her lips, but realized being distracted was for the weak.? He moved to step back into his hiding space before he let his eyes easily adjust to the absence of light so he could see those around him.? He wasn't cheating as he was using the ambient light there.? He zapped once person they all but backed into him.? He shook his head, amateurs, this was verging on too easy except where Ireland and Mia were concerned he had to work a bit harder to keep track of them.? It didn't help that Ireland, Brandon and he had their own arena to practice in from time to time too.? With real lasers so they hurt but didn't do full on damage, like a bee sting.? ? (Kitty) Kitty danced about five more songs with many different people and at times by herself.? She loved being the center, but also loved being on her own.? She noticed Cho's intentions, but also knew that he was one to not get involved fully with.? Not that she ever got fully involved with anyone.? She knew what he was, at least she had heard what he was.? She had never confirmed it, but she was cautious around him. Once the fifth song was over, she had chosen her next meal and taking a dark skinned tall man by the hand, led him to one of the small curtained alcoves along the walls.? She closed the curtain behind them and enjoyed giving him a lap dance while partaking of a nice buzzed filled drink. (Cho) There was something about Kitty that pulled at him and yet, she was still pushing him away.? He got it but still there was that part of him that kept his eyes on her most of her dance until she went behind the curtain.? He went back to work not even wanting to know what she was doing or who with.? He could easily distract himself with the peace of mind and a drink in hand.? It was his job to serve drinks, to be friendly even charming and most times to mind his own business which he could easily do.? He knew what she was, he was close enough to know and he knew catching feelings was a 'No.'? But did that mean he wasn't or hadn't been interested?? (Khadashee) Khadashee followed Draven to where he led. When he mentioned that he wanted to bring up the past, that scared her. She just reached a point where she was no longer crying about her children and the fact that he wanted to talk about it again upset her. She she didn¡¯t want to talk about this anymore. Why was he doing this? "Draven, I am fine now. We do not need to talk about this. Really I¡¯m am fine," she said.? However, she knew he was going to keep going when he moved her over to another more secluded section of the deck. And then he asked her a question she wasn¡¯t expecting...Poisoned.??She frowned. Did she think she could be poisoned? ¡°But why would anyone do that? Why would they the hurt the heir?¡± (Draven) Draven understood that she didn't want to talk about it anymore, but he wanted to hopefully give her hope, that if she was carrying their child, that she would bring it forth to a happy and healthy life.? He heard her question and as he didn't have the answer, shrugged, "maybe they weren't trying to hurt the heir directly, maybe they were trying to remove you and that was the unfortunate side effect.? And once both Brandon and Mia were ready she said. ¡°Like for instance always be closing.¡± She said tagging both Raine and Mia then running into the maze. (Mia) Mia stood for a moment, "hey, the timer hadn't even started."? Then before she headed off she tagged Raine, then ran off giggling as the time started.? She could play that game too.? She ran around the place figuring out the layout, without running into the other two and then was back to the beginning.? She had found a pretty neat hiding spot, but figured the other two would try and hide as well, and well, what would be the fun in that if all three were hiding from each other. (Cho) Cho could take a hint and when she moved away from him into her gaggle of females.? He moved off the dance floor and back to the bar.? His break wasn't that long as we went back to work.? Slinging drinks, he would occasionally look up at her and give her a wink as he manned the bar.? He wasn't one to encroach upon her fun.? He did understand how to give someone their space as well as when, 'No' meant, No!? He did find himself confused having been invited to join her, but perhaps he missed something who knew. (Kitty) Kitty danced about five more songs with many different people and at times by herself.? She loved being the center, but also loved being on her own.? She noticed Cho's intentions, but also knew that he was one to not get involved fully with.? Not that she ever got fully involved with anyone.? She knew what he was, at least she had heard what he was.? She had never confirmed it, but she was cautious around him. Once the fifth song was over, she had chosen her next meal and taking a dark skinned tall man by the hand, led him to one of the small curtained alcoves along the walls.? (Ashton) Ashton honestly was pissed at the revelation, he wasn¡¯t surprised but he was angered that he didn¡¯t know this operation was his woman¡¯s.? The fact that her business was legitimate and being used illegally.? He was sent there to get him out of the way.? He knew now!? But that meant there were some other players in this game that needed to be dealt with and he needed to get to a particular place before that train went cold also. ¡°So you going to tell me about your business my love?¡±? He asked as he cut through the streets as he knew he needed to get to Zsa Zsa before someone else did.? Now that Arrow was down she wouldn¡¯t be far behind unless he got to her first.? He knew of the most likely safe house that the two of them would use.? His head set helped him to identify police in the area so his speed wouldn¡¯t be compromised. So there were some secrets between them, but was it secrets because of withholding information or did she just not want him to know.? Maybe he failed to ask the right questions? ? (Katya) Katya sighed at that point and since he asked a direct question since he obviously wasn't getting the point she would give him a direct answer, "No, I am not." Her business was hers and up until now had been kept under the radar.? "We need to find out who sent you there in and that is what we are going to concentrate on, love." (Devi) Devi grinned when Aurora said that she was free right now as well. "The park? Yes I know where it is. 20 minutes is good. Meet you there." After saying a quick bye, Devi finished her drink, checked herself out in the mirror, grabbed her purse and keys and headed out.?? One of the few loves Devi has that she got from her father, was the love of the muscle cars. For her it was the specific 1973?Pontiac Fire Bird?Trans Am SD-455. It was one of the first things that she had gotten after she had enough money. Having it restored and updated she had, had it delivered just that week. Having not had time to drive it yet, she chose this one to take to meet Aurora. Hearing the rumble as she started it up made her smile.? It didn't take long for Devi to make it to the park. She found a parking spot and pulled in. Devi got out and leaned against the car door as she waited for Aurora. (Aurora) Aurora ended the call and slipped her phone into her pocket.? She looked at Mara, "see you at dinner then.? If you want to go and get some rest before looking over those blueprints, feel free." She said as they entered the smaller mansion the Benders of Light shared.? She always changed into her green Aurora outfit in her office there.? She never kept anything related to them or her alter ego in her private residence.? Once inside and after Mara responded, she headed to her office to change for her meeting with Devi. They were stopped when the eventually found their way into the inner world's where a massive fleet, comprised of both Alliance and resistance ships, rallied to take out the Dhigra.? ? ?It has been some years now since the Dhigra showed up in our solar system. The Alliance and resistance have slowly started to drift back to grumbling about each other. There are rumors of the resistance building up again.
