Pilot Officer Henry Joseph CARRINGTON- died 22 May 1944. Service number 415761 - 49 Squadron - Bomber Command. Shot down by a night fighter during a raid on Duisburg Germany. Late of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. RIP Great Uncle Harry.

He was the son of William Baggaley? and Sarah Hannah COLDWELL of 37 Evelyn Road, Crookes, Sheffield,? A native born Yorkshireman.?

An elder brother to my paternal grandmother and my father's middle name was Norman in his memory.

Remembering Rupert Stanley WILSON, kia, 20th December 1941, aged 21 yrs, when HMS Kandahar was sunk in the Mediterranean Sea.? My father's bestfriend through their engineering apprenitceships.

My father and Stanley went to enlist together at the outbreak of WW2.? Both were in reserved occupations; Stanley was accepted, my father was not.
