While not unusual in some parts of Yavapai county, I don't see any eBird records of Yellow-billed Cuckoo for Watson Woods.? This morning I heard and then saw one in a big cottonwood tree in WW not far from where one takes the stairs down into the woods from the parking area off Sundog road.? I only saw the underside of that large, paddle-like tail with the large white spots. It was only making its distinctive call very infrequently.? Also, there continues to be a Chat calling along the Creek south of the wildlife pond.
