I took a quick run this morning to Granite Basin Lake. Best birds of the morning were three Townsend's Solitaires. They were singing (short phrase) songs and perched up at tree tips along the base of the mountain, viewed from the inlet side of the lake.
Also of interest was a possible red naped x red-breasted sapsucker in the Willow Grove next to Playa parking area.? This could be the same bird that was there last year perhaps. Not seen well enough this time, but good to look for.
