Locked American White Pelicans
This morning I photographed (from the northside) a group of about 40 American White Pelicans clustered tightly together on the southwest shore of Willow Lake.? Since this is a favorite location of pelican N09 who spent the winter in Prescott, I assume he/she is among this group.? In fact, N09 may be the reason they landed there. Now it will be interesting to see if N09 migrates onward with them.? I'll post a photo on eBird. Steve Burk |
Thanks, Steve. I saw the loner yesterday. May not be lonely any longer!? An Osprey scared up the mass of shovelers yesterday. w On Thu, Mar 18, 2021 at 10:31 AM Steve Burk <burkstsu@...> wrote:

Diane and I saw the same 40 pelicans, by count, and when they flew off the lake, two remained. Don't know if one was our resident. All on our ebird report for the lake. On Thu, Mar 18, 2021 at 10:59 AM Walt Anderson <waltandersonAFC@...> wrote:
