I watched 2? of the Common Loons
Yesterday Morning
from the east shore of Watson lake for about 15 minutes. They slowly moved closer to my location and within Camera Range? allowing for some nice photos.

The neck was white in the front, dark in the back with an uneven line between the two colors, so not Pacific loon. Bills were larger than Pacific as well.? - Comments: "Zonotrichia sparrow slightly heftier and darker overall than the plentiful white-crowned sparrows, with a smudgy yellow central stripe. Good views from 25 feet away as it fed below a feeder."
