Locked Green Heroin

Yesterday, Apr 5, I was hiking on the West Watson Lake path, and encountered a tall birder with a cheerful expression and a pair of Swarovski glasses.? He tried to point out a Green Heron he had spotted in the weeds but I couldn't pick it out.? The bird flew out of view and my guide continued north.? I followed the bird south and circled around to get closer,? I eventually spotted it and got a couple of good pictures.? (see attached).

I am attaching a picture in hope it will reach the gentleman who helped me.??

If this note is inappropriate, I apologize.

Thank you

I seem to be acting as forwarder lately. This message comes from Ryan Crouse who believes he heard a Gray Hawk at the wildlife pond in Watson Woods just now. He would welcome a confirmation, of course.

I'm guessing the friendly man with the Swarovski binocs was Eric Moore, owner of the Lookout. He's probably on this email list and could confirm that guess.?
