Revive Goo tube

Hi folks. I’ve got a half full tube of walthers Goo and the cap is completely fused. Pliers won’t get it open.

What do you suggest? I could cut off the tube bottom and then fold it over to reseal?

Or cut open and pour into a small jar? Will it eat a plastic container?

Thanks for indulging my frugality.

Fred

Go to your friendly local Ace Hardware and buy a tube of Barge Cement. You will find it to be a much better product.
Or drill a No 77 hole in the cap and stick a pin in it.

Remember the ads that Wally's used to run about you could use Goo to fix your shoes? I tried it. Not good.

Barge cement is that stuff that shoe repair people use. If you have ever been in a shoe repair shop, you will recognize the smell.. It works. Use it the same way you use Goo. It is a contact cement.

I have been using Pliobond as a really good alternative to Goo.

Seems to be slightly less viscous, you can apply with a fine tube that can be purchased separately and attached to the front of the tube. Has a cap that keeps the stuff from gooing up the nozzle.
