QY100 display light

?Years ago, I had looked into alot of replacement backlit LCDs and one thing I noticed about potential replacements is that the driver chip (T6963C) always seemed to be actually built-in to the display, but in the QY schematics the driver appears to be on the main PCB, which I always assumed made them incompatible replacements.

Going by memory here, so please feel to correct me if I am missing something.

Unfurtunately I did not succeed in finding one, looks like they're out
of production since ages. There are possible candidate replacement, also
with OLED...

Here, for the curious, my notes.

Hi prea, good seeing you in this forum too.
I will advise against replacing the QY screen for an AN1x screen, since
they are different. I own an AN1x (and in the AN1x mailing list too) and
it has been mentioned before that it is a custom hybrid screen.
see this image: AN1x screen

You can see the pixel area (title of the patch) and the EDIT, UNISON and
POLY images are custom built on the LCD.
Also, it is known that the AN1x backlight may die (mine is perfect, but
it is a known problem).
