TX81Z loading DX100/27/21 sysex problem

metatone_2000

Hi everyone,

Got the TX802 sorted (thanks Daniel) now I can't seem to load DX100/27/21 sysex
into my TX81Z,does the sysex data need editing for the TX81Z to accept it? and yes
memory protect was off lol

The TX81Z and the keyboard equivalent DX11 are sysex-compatible successors to the DX21 (they include, for instance, a choice of 8 waveforms per operator). Check manual first to see if there is a "receive system-exclusive on/off" function.

Thanks Greg,

Talk about cryptic on the TX81Z probably will end up just using the presets,I can't even see "midi transfer done" or whatever on it and the 32 user voices are still the bloody same whatever I do.

Thanks Greg,

You were totally correct,I do apologize, the TX81Z is at the bottom of my rack which means bending
myself double and lying on the floor,I didn't go far enough in the menus.
