cartridge format
Which cartridge is it? This doesn’t look like RAM4, it is ROM, so of course it can’t be formatted.

And how could you replace battery? There’s no battery in ROM cartridge as you can see. Or do you mean battery in DX7? It was not the best idea to connect the cartridge without the box. Maybe you have connected it opposite side, so you could destroy it. On Nov 26, 2023, at 18:58, googdyamaha <valerizimlichxxc21@...> wrote: |
I see now that it is Mk1, so it is not RAM4. What exactly is written on the other side of the box and on upper part?

This is master data cartridge rom #1, Yes I have learned from the manual that this cartridge cannot be formatted. ? My main problem which I didn't bring up before is that the dx7 can't read this cartridge and when it does it prompts a format conflict. That's why I tried replacing the battery in the dx7, but it didn't work, I also tried Diagnostic Test (Function+16+32) several times, but it didn't solve anything. ? I see everyone has 10 tests in Diagnostic Test and I only have 8. My dx7 version is 1.8. |
开云体育Your ROM card seems to be damaged or the ROM cardreader in your DX7 is defect.I had the latter w/ a KORG M1R(ex) and resoldering contacts of the cardreader unit inside the machine solved the problem. Anyway,- you?ll find sysex data of Yamaha DX7 factory ROM cardridges all over the place in the web. So,- no loss when the cardridge is dead. Throw it in the bin when it is and use BOME SendSX (for Windows) to load and dump single patches or patchbanks in .sys and.mid format. It works like a charme w/ all my vintage MIDI modules and synths,- DX7mkII, TX816, TG77 and the other brands. Am 27.11.2023 um 11:44 schrieb
