Battery Source

I just got a DX9 to add to my collection.? Is Yamaha still the best source for the internal battery?

I know I could cobble something together, but I find the factory setup to be durable and issue-free, even in the back of a tour bus.

I get my batteries from Mouser Electronics.? Never had a problem, as long as the pinout matches.

I fitted a CR2032 battery holder and battery to my DX7.

Did the same with on a DX7 I fixed, and my own TX816.
Got a 10-pack of battery holders for peanuts at Alibaba. The spacing of pins is a bit larger than the original battery, but the pins are long enough to be nicely bent with a pair of pliers.
My DX7 is claiming for a new battey... after 34 years! In the user guide, battery life expectation was given 5 years ;-)

I prefer Digikey as I've received batteries with low voltage twice in a row from Mouser.
At the very least, measure the voltage before soldering the battery in.
