DX7 constantly sending midi
开云体育It is probably active sensing which most DX uses to check a cable is present so that overhanging notes are silenced if a cable is removed during transmission. Lee Sent from my iPhone On 18 Dec 2013, at 17:03, <joshua.allard@...> wrote:

?
Hello, I've noticed on my midi interface that my DX7 is constantly sending something. The light on the interface is dim and rapidly flashing (The light is bright for instance when I play a note) Is this normal for a DX7? If not I'm guessing I may have an aftertouch that isn't turning fully off

Yep I bet that's what it is. I also have system info turned on for sending sysex banks. Is that what turns on active sensing? When I went through the diagnostics I noticed when I would release many different keys the aftertouch would only go down to 2 so I though perhaps that was the issue.?
I'll experiment tonight to see if I can get the light to go away. But if it is active sensing or system info that shouldn't be an issue.? I'm guessing there is probably a program (i'm on os x 10.8) ?that tells me what midi info is coming in? Perhaps something in logic 9?
