Those are some really great prices!
I just picked up something kind of special, myself:? a RAM5
cartridge in mint condition.? Nowhere near as good a price, but I
think I did well.? Crossing my fingers that there's nothing wrong
with it (the pictures look excellent).

Yes i think i got a good price on them !!? The DX21 is in a wooden flightcase though i don't really need it.? i have found a guy (also on ebay) who has copies of the DX manuals for sale.

Yes, it does; at least, I've seen
photos of the cartridge and the manual.? :-)
And Charlie, I paid $55 + shipping:? not a steal, but as good or
better than a lot of RAM4 cartridges go for these days.

- RAM4 = 16 KILO-bytes of memory, two M5M51263 8k x 8-bit
SRAMs.? (In those days, 1MB RAM cost ~$1,000 for the chips
alone!? And it required 128 chips.)
- RAM5 = either 32kB or 64kB, not sure yet.? The data on the
Web implies that it is a 64kB cartridge, but it only has an
A/B switch for the memory.? So, either it's really 32kB, or
the other banks can only be accessed through software -- or?
they are using the extra memory for other reasons (tuning
maps, etc.).? Personally, I hope they had made it lots of
banks of performance/voice memory.
- RAM6, RAM7, etc. --> never happened, although there were
some aftermarket cartridges that might have been > 64kB.
The RAM4 cartridge has 34 pins; only A1-A12, A17, and B1-B14 are
used, leaving seven more for future expansion.

?Just a suggestion ,get in contact with narfman for a ser7 rom.easiest upgrade ever just snap in one new rom ,and whala you have decent midi functions. Well worth it.
