Re: DX7s mainboard (DM) reborn attempt
I'm using this thread because I don't see much about the DX7S here or anywhere. I just revived one that had a blown power supply. I tried to fix it, but the transformer was bad and other issues too. I

Re: MIDI sysex question
Yes - I have done it with the DX100,and wrote the remote controller for Dx11/100 someplace on my commodore systems, which I don't use - just wanted to see how the remote system operated. LEE

Re: MIDI sysex question
Yes the remote panel button commands work, although I haven't used them myself. There was a recent video of a massive DX7 controller (not Jellinghaus or any commercial ones) that an individual made

Re: MIDI sysex question
Update: I found a thread DX7 Remote Panel Button Control with a 2016 post by Daniel Forro that answers my remote switch question. I can experiment with that for now.

Re: Not-so-dead DX7 Mark I - The saga continues...
3.25V on U4 with unit OFF sounds suspiciously high. It should be more like 3.00V if the battery is 3.31V. The germanium diode should drop it about 0.2 to 0.3V. It sounds like maybe some capacitor

Re: Not-so-dead DX7 Mark I - The saga continues...
Hi guys - Sorry for the very delayed follow-up. Lots of stuff got in the way this past month. I think diode D4 is good, but I figured I'd see if you guys could confirm this. I finally opened the

Thanks to all for the helpful info and ideas. I was able to remove the connector and substitute a standard 0.1" (2.54mm) header. Power is back on. :-) I found that I have version 1.2 OS
