Re: Quick Help (please)
Not necessarily a lot of time, but it does require access to a server where the forum can sit, and bandwidth for topics. Things can also go wrong from time to time, requiring technical intervention.

Re: DX7 constantly sending midi
Yep I bet that's what it is. I also have system info turned on for sending
sysex banks. Is that what turns on active sensing?
When I went through the diagnostics I noticed when I would release

Re: DX7 constantly sending midi
It is probably active sensing which most DX uses to check a cable is present so that overhanging notes are silenced if a cable is removed during transmission.

Re: DX7 constantly sending midi
Hi,
i had the same thing when i had a Roland U220 (i think it was). It was because i had the ACTIVE MIDI SENSING turned to ON. So every few seconds the LED would pulsate.

DX7 constantly sending midi
Hello,
I've noticed on my midi interface that my DX7 is constantly sending something. The light on the interface is dim and rapidly flashing (The light is bright for instance when I play a note)

Hi Paul,
Appreciate the sentiment, but I'm not going to run another forum, not even on a dare! Running a BBS from scratch takes a lot of time, of which I have little. Case in point: you sent this

Re: LFO Speed in BPM and some LFO tricks
Martin
The formula was derived from the fitting a second-order polynomial to the data by least squares regression.
Yes, if we do away with the constant then we would have a better fit. Good

Re: LFO Speed in BPM and some LFO tricks
I don't know how you constructed your formula, but if you remove the last
"- 0.0171263" part of it, you at least won't get these negative values.
And the value is too small to really change the

Re: LFO Speed in BPM and some LFO tricks
It's not a problem for DX/TXconvert that does not use or need this kind of
precision anyway.
Yamaha used a lot of look-up tables instead of math-formulas in their FM
chips. This way it was possible

Re: LFO Speed in BPM and some LFO tricks
Hello Martin
The math model is as good as it gets. It is only the first three values that are negative:
Setting?LFO(hertz)
0?-1.7126e-02
1-1.4716e-02
2-8.6650e-04

Re: LFO Speed in BPM and some LFO tricks [1 Attachment]
Hi Eb,
Thanks, that comes quite close. Except that the lowest range produces
negative numbers with your formula.
