Hi Geoff,
You can't loose and you can't change the 128 factory presets that are in ROM in bank A B C D.
The 32 user patches can be filled with whatever you want. Save your current patches in your computer if you want to restore them later. I don't know Edisyn, but if it is any good it should give you this possibility.

I know that the DX21 used to have all of the factory presets stored in Read Only Memory chips,? I could restore 8 sounds at a time into the internal RAM memory.? Not sure about the 81Z, you may need to restore via MIDI (but get the manual online to find out!).? Also look up DX11 and V2 – they are the same synth and similar to the TX81Z.

Hi there -
?
I recently acquired a TX81Z. I've been using the Edisyn patch editor
on a Mac to do some editing - but I'm still learning about the system.
I'm curious if there is a straightforward way to restore to factory
preset defaults - I'd like to start experimenting with new patches,
but I don't necessarily want to lose the old ones!
Does anyone use a similar workflow and have any suggestions?
?
Thanks,
G
