Summer camping and non-groundplane antennas

Jon Robert Pellant

I haven't been doing much radio camping this summer yet; however, I am
going to norther WI this weekend and hope to get some radio time in.

Last year I used mostly a long wire >>1 ?. Unfortunately I didn't get
much luck with 80/75m. I don't have a very good ground and running
couterpoises in the woods has been flakey.

I was wondering what other non-ground antenna conifgurations others have
had success with (loops, dipoles, etc.).

Thx,

Jon
