Loop antennas fed with ladderline

mi5utc

Hi Group

I have a 80ft delta loop however my tuner cant reach it as the control
cable is only 16 ft long. Could I feed the corner of my delta loop
from the tuner using some ladderline ?

Any help / advice would be appreciated..

Talk is cheap. Use Yahoo! Messenger to make PC-to-Phone calls.

Hi Syd,

They work fine with Ladder Line feed, just keep the ladder line away from conducting surfaces, from your description this should not be a problem. Alternatively extend the control line, I would try the ladder line first though.

Blab-away for as little as 1???/min. Make using Yahoo! Messenger with Voice.

I know there is a formula for it, I do not know it. All I did was
use as long of a piece that I could keep vertical which ended up
being 25 foot. So do the same, run a piece of ladder line from your
tuner to your delta loop and try that, you may be suprised.

Yes I tried ladder line (approx 17ft) from the tuner to one of the
lower corners and it worked a treat. Thanks for the advice.

PC-to-Phone calls for ridiculously low rates.
