FC-50 Tuner?

Bryan

Anyone use the FC-50 tuner yet? I have an FT-891 and the FC-50 tuner. I am still working on antennas and the the General class license, so I have not tested anything yet.

Just checking in to learn about the tuner. Thanks.

Have not used nor do I own it but from some reviews it has a limited range (one quoted 3:1) so if this is true anything far out of resonance will be a no go with this tuner. Not necessarily a bad thing but just have to be aware of this.

My FC-40 needs a longer radiating element than the specs suggest. But I like to work on the 80 meter range.

I use mine with a 66' radiator and about a 30' counterpoise and no ground,
