开云体育Hi Rob,Good question! It’s a great rig but as you know it’s also older technology. Personally, I would start with the user’s manual. It has a pretty complete description of how to use the FT847 in satellite mode. I would print out the pages in the satellite chapter and probably also the chapter on memory operation if you haven’t used the memory functions so that you have the info in front of you as you set up the rig. If you don’t have a manual let me know via email (either call is good in QRZ) and I can send you a pdf. My mint condition 847 is retired and sitting on a shelf as a backup rig now that I have the 7300/9700 pair so once you get the basic set up going someone else who is actively using the rig may be in a better position to assist you with any tweaks that my be helpful specifically for the ISS.
