Ever wonder what the inside of a Collins mechanical filter looks like?

Guilty!? My parents could tell you horror stories (for them) about me taking apart things when I was very young.? :^)? And that's only the things they found out about. Hihi!

But the story about the filter is that after looking for two years in Canada, I found only 3 but of the first two, one wanted Paypal only (which I don't do), the 2nd one I missed by a few hours, 3rd one: success! ....until it arrived in the mail totally crushed.

That is unfortunate...?? I hope you can make a claim with mail service.? I wonder if it is at all salvageable

Unfortunately my soldering iron packed it in so I haven't been able to remove that 2nd PC board the crystals are mounted on.? Notice the braille-like bumps on the ends of the silver cylinders.
