FT-847 on 8M


 

I've tried receiving 8M signals with my FT-847.? So far I decoded two stations on 40.680 Mhz using the 847 and an 80M wire.??

Hi Tom,?
? ? ? ? ? ? ?just a work of warning!! There is an fundamental at 36mhz. Be very weary about transmitting anywhere near that frequency.

Thanks, I was aware of that.? The current experimental band is 40.660 to 40.700 for US stations.??

At this stage I don't even have a license to transmit on 8 meter.
