Null cable

I see several suggestions to buy the RT Systems cable at 30.00.? I also see null cables for between 20.00 and 50.00 but I found an adapter for 3.00.? I had several FTDI cables so I couldn't see spending that extra money.? Fleabay has null cable adapters for 3.00 with free shipping. They are plainly marked on the cases NULL so they don't get mixed up with your gender changers for your Kenwood radios.

Good morning
? ? ? ? ? ?I found out why I couldn’t get commander or hrd to work on my 847. I purchased an early model and it didn’t allow two way cat control. They apparently did offer a firmware upgrade that I didn’t find out about until now.

I have reached out to Yaesu to see if I can do the firmware myself or if they still do it.

Let me know if they have a fix for the early model, I have one too! Thank You!

I was looking at an early model with this issue.? Yaesu said it is more than just firmware.? It required a board change.? They did offer the fix but no sadly more.?

There is a mod somewhere
I saw that you can change the comm port but the $3.00 adapter is a cheaper easier option.

What kinda $3 adapter U talking about?? Hal/WB4AEG

Hal I am talking about a straight through to null adapter.? It plugs into the radio's com port and the standard serial cable plugs into it?
